  1. Found this article from Oct last year, still sums up Sven IMO http://www.timesonline.co.uk/article/0,,8305-1811579,00.html
  2. Now Jansen's having his say about dear ol' Souey http://www.thisislancashire.co.uk/lancashi...rt/ROVERS1.html And so does Gray http://www.thisislancashire.co.uk/lancashi...rt/ROVERS3.html
  3. Not one to be vindictive but there's always the next round to hope for. Hopefully Reading can give 'em a stuffing.
  4. Seconded. Makes a refreshing change, hope he gets his career back on track (except against us, of course )
  5. Excellent points raised in both the document and this thread. Hope it goes well guys. the issue of blacking out local pubs that show Rovers games is a good one of making people who want to watch the game go to the ground. Take example of NHL / NFL games in USA, where if the team is at home, then any local broadcast of game is blacked out unless there's a sell out. Granted most of these teams have their own local TV sports networks, and many of Rovers games would be on Sky / foreign satellite TV but I feel as though this would help bring more people to the game.
  6. I reckon we could progress to the next round with this tie. And at least we've avoided Man U (if they get through ), Chelsea, Liverpool and the Arse.
  7. Good result for us, and as already been mentioned, an ideal confidence booster going into Wednesday's game. Look forward to the FA Cup draw in a couple of hours
  8. Still think, that when Hughes bought in Bellamy & Kuqi this season, he knew that must've been it, times up. Although he was supposed to have had an impressive pre-season (or so I read) albeit up until the tackle by the keeper in the last friendly at Ewood (forget who it was against, Espanyol?), so he could've made a comeback this season. But best thing now for both parties is for him to have a new start at a different club. Rebuild his confidence, give him regular starts, although he'll never be the player he was, although would be liked to be proven otherwise (not against us of course).
  9. "If" Jansen does play will probably be a late second half sub, but with the risk of being cup-tied for his future team and Hughes wanting to put a potentially strong squad out, probably won't play. Hoping for a comfortable win for us.
  10. Cup game, could be tight, will be lucky to win it in penalties, with probably getting Man U in the semi's. League, depends on whether or not Bellamy / Nelsen are back for the league game, hoping for a draw at least.
  11. Was actually surprised by the positive spin on Rovers from the Sunday Express Not seen this morning's papers etc yet, but as we were playing a London side, I can only imagine.
  12. So you don't end up with 3 teams from Europe in the one group, and as they were the lowest ranked European team, they get a "special" pot.
  13. Nah, not this season, not whilst Sunderland are still in the Premiership
  14. January transfer window can't come soon enough. Although reckon we'll do well enough without Bellamy (always have a bit of optimism ), not brilliantly, but well enough to avoid joining with the BIG club.
  15. 1 out 2 for me. Seeing as Scotland isn't there . . . again (Cheers Berti ) it's the Italians for me.
  16. If there were "poor training pitches" at Rovers, Liverpool and now Newcastle, makes you wonder what the training pitches were like at Rangers!!!
  17. Do like the way it's quoted with Jewell saying "so-called top Newcastle side"
  18. If he dropped Emerton for a few games then I'm sure (hope) he'll do the same to Savage.
  19. After last night's spirited comeback and return to form? and Everton's inconsistency, looking at a win for us. Reckon it'll be a close one but it'll be 3 points in the bag. Definitely want us beat them, got a mate who's an Everton fan. Keeps harping on about last season and, still, Rooney. Yes, the guy still lives in tha past but would be good to see his face. *cue Keegan "I would love it" rant*
  20. Well, Charlton are a London team after all A good result despite the worrying factor having to come back from 0-2 down. Does make me wonder that under ol' Souey we probably would've rolled over and given up. Not under Hughes it would seem, a change of tactics, introducing what now seems like key players and an improved team spirit/morale all combine to make it one heck of a final few minutes.
  21. Seen Thommos goal on SSN this morning. Not a bad cracker from outside box.
  22. Hoping (wishing?) for a close game. Although the Arse haven't been impressive of late, we'll still need to work hard to get anything out of the game. And if Tugay plays any part, then we can maybe nick it. Draw or a flukey win for us
  23. I do like the fact that the capacity is 2gb and growing (see the counter on the Gmail log in page). Not fussed about the text ads, but better than the banner crap that's all over MSN hotmail.
  24. If we can carry on where we left off against Charlton then I can see us getting the 3 points. However, as has been said, depends on what state our players that play in the World Cup playoffs come back in, especially the Aussies with their long haul flight.
