Always thought that to improve yourself as a player you need to be playing against decent opposition, hence his move to us. Obviously not in his case, as he decided he couldn't cut it in the Premiership and sodded off back home again. There's commitment for you, sheesh! Players like that that don't earn my respect at all. I like players that will give their all for the blue and white of Blackburn right til the very end.

Granted he banged in the goals to keep us up, and for that I'm eternally grateful so all the best for the future for him (just not against us).

When I'd heard that he'd gone to NUFC, I was a bit surprised. Thought it'd be Bruce, O'leary, anyone but Souey. But as with some of the post, I think that he'd run his course at the club. Rovers letting them talk to Souey, probably shows that he was close to a sacking. With Parkes in charge, at least he should hold the fort until we get our man. Be interesting to see the names the media put forward as candidates, and who we finally get. Out of the doldrums at last?!
