  2. I still think, it would depend on any offers that may (or may not) come in after the World Cup. If he plays a blinder over in that then that could decide things (as I guess it would if any offers come in for Neill too), especially as I agree, it may be that case that he's been benched too many times and too often for it be a "gee up" ploy. Still, for the price we paid for him, I'm sure we'd make a tidy profit on his sale.
  3. Only just got the 2006 version, and so far looks and plays impressive. God knows why I waited this long to get my hands on it
  4. To be honest though, would you blame them, considering his final touch on the ball
  5. Dare I say that we needed this result. After the high of beating Man U and a good decent run of league results, this game was a kick in the nads and will serve as a warning that we shouldn't get complacent and get too confident. I fully expect Hughes to get it right and back on form against Everton. Especially if Everton play above their station against Chelski in the midweek replay and suffer a comedown at the weekend against us.
  6. Git is too kind a word for him. Messageboard rules don't allow for what really describes him.
  7. Mind you, any kind of official Rovers DVD would be good Still after the Worthington Cup Final win on DVD. Taped it off telly but an official DVD would be better.
  8. Hopefully put together a DVD as well, from that torrent link posted a few pages back, at least until/if they release the "official" DVD.
  9. Have a feeling February's review could be a good 'un!
  10. Score 2 goals and Big club will be in for you. Dunn and Forsell are injured again too.
  11. Just shows that Souey hasn't got the ability to manage at the "Big Clubs". Didn't do too well at Liverpool (lowest Liverpool finished in years when he was there, even despite an FA Cup win), and now Newcastle. Rangers don't really count considering the standard of league opposition (no disrespect, like) and the amount of money he had available. Not sure how well he did at Galatasaray (or whichever Turkish team he coached) though. Did not too bad at Southampton if I remember, but I think he only left due to spat with chairman. And his early years with us, getting us back into the Premier and into Europe, and winning the League Cup, eternally thankful for, notso for the latter part of his reign with the usual bust up with players, getting rid of them (even though they were decent) splashing the cash needlessly and the poor run of results. If he does get back into management, would be better off starting low (Fizzy pop league?)
  12. With fans like that, Newcastle deserve all that has happened, and hopefully will happen, by getting relegated, and done up by the tax man too.
  13. After reading the last paragraph/quote, the optimism coming from the club recently is definitely a breath of fresh air. Plus the potential extra pennies from this deal will help too, as well as the maybe extra coverage in Scandinavia to increase our profile there.
  14. What gets me, is that we banged in 4 goals, and none of them from any of our strikers. Ok so Bentley was a make-shift striker (and has done well), and the other goal was a penalty, but not bad considering our "depleted" strikeforce. So maybe for the West Brom game, or at least until Bellamy gets back, Bentley & Pongolle up front? Oh, and message to RFW: No-one likes a sore loser
  15. Hmmm, first game on Match of the day. Be interesting to hear the Preston Hairdresser's comments
  16. Top result. Makes up for the Carling semi final, kind of. always good to beat Man U, Champions League here we come
  17. In the tunnel after the Ferdinand/Savage argy bargy in the 2nd Leg I think it was
  18. Nice one First of hopefully more monthly reviews.
  19. Home 2 and the red one. I do like the look/style of the red shirt.
  20. Did they not watch the snorefest that was last year's FA Cup final then? "Big" teams in a final do not always equal a good game. Although last year's League Cup Final between Liverpool & Chelsea wasn't too bad. Here's hoping we upset the media and get to the final
  21. Makes no difference. Didn't the media "pick" Venables and Keegan? And look what happened there.
  22. I do like the last paragraph "He also took over a Blackburn team which was hardly setting the Premiership on fire and has turned them into a strong side, who are exciting to watch."
  23. Guus Hiddinck is apparently interested. http://www.givemefootball.com/news.html?ne...5&type=domestic
