  1. Not an easy game, but we can take them. Ya baby.
  2. Well hearing it from someone like Brownie who is a decent and reliable news source here is a bit more convincing than my mate's mate who bla bla'ed. Pay as you play deal signs good. I reckon its a 6 month contract or could it be longer? How long would he take that kind of deal, cant see it for more than 6 months. Im excited, but kind of worried about him and Brum thinking he shouldnt play in case he gets injured. It doesnt fill me with confidence at ALL!
  3. Id take an "easy" fixture in Belgium over any of the others, so we make it to the last 16 and then let the glamour ties come...
  4. I wouldve gone and done the same thing to anyone who had booed me too, cause in my mind I havent done anything wrong. If you are angry he is captain go and boo Hughes. Neill has always given 100% , but that doesnt mean he has always played well. Big difference!
  5. Ya I noticed at the end he clapped the JW Stand but not the BB End.
  6. How did he celebrate exactly? Also, I dont know how Nolan has "earnt" a first team place after a 60 minute cameo in which defensively he didnt look all that composed!
  7. Did he run up to the BB End and stick it up them? I thought I saw him running back towards them, what did he do?
  8. Funny how he was being called the next best thing only a few weeks ago!
  9. And how about the Lucas Neill who has put in quite a few outstanding performances this season even though he wants to leave? I dont buy this crap about Neill that some people are on about.
  10. Derbyshire wasnt excellent. He wasnt even good. But he tried and thats the only standard we are measuring the 2nd half by.
  11. I was against letting him go but 2.5 million is great for him but UNFORTUNATELY we didnt use the money to sign a proper player. Nonda hasnt impressed me at all and I was surprised that some people here were hailing him as a good player just a couple of weeks ago. Like I said he isnt 1/10th the player he was before his injury. Take pace away from a player who relied on it and he is nothing anymore.
  12. Lets not kid ourselves here. Lucas Neill has always given his all. His commitment to the cause WHENEVER he has been on the pitch has never been out. And ya, after 6 years, and his contract is running out, he wants a fresh challenge. He hasnt made a noise of it in the media, hasnt made a tantrum after we rejected the Pool offer, hasnt said he wont play for us if we dont let him move like some OTHER players do, but instead has kept his head down and played for us. And he has the right to want to move. He has served us well. Its DIFFERENT to a player who REFUSES to come on the pitch, for instance.
  13. Its worrying that in a league that is largely about pace and end to end stuff we dont have a single player in our lineup with ANY real pace. Roberts was our only guy and he is out injured and I think it should be addressed in January.
  14. He is definitely not to be captain again. He has let the team down too many times with his unprofessionalism. However he did look alright today but his passing was a heartattack waiting to happen.
  15. He was pretty good in the second half though.
  16. I thought Derbyshire worked hard and especially impressed me in the air as he won quite a few headers against taller players. With that said I doubt he will really become a Premiership player.
  17. Friedel went up front for the corner and then on the counter Martins slotted it in with no keeper after rounding a couple of defenders. 2ND HALF PERFORMANCE IN TERMS OF FIGHT WAS MAGNIFICENT. Makes you wonder where the hell the spirit was for the first 45 minutes. Given made a world class tip over from a Gamst shoulder. Benny ran his socks off up front but largely running around and had no gas left when the ball dropped to him 12 yards off and mis controlled it. Savage who was invisible in the first half was brilliant in the 2nd. All the lads showed up for the 2nd half but based on the first half we dug too deep a hole. Overall massively poor first half, improved 2nd half, but the trend is that we are not winning games.
  18. woeful first half, possibly the worst 45 minutes Ive seen from us. if anyone thinks we arent in real trouble or we are too good to go down, get real cause with the injuries we have had we are literally down to the point where out of form players are playing every week in our team. unless we strengthen with a couple of signings in January and I mean early January and get Reid, Nelsen and Roberts back, dont be expecting much. Woeful, inept, poor, not even motivated to play is all I can say about the first 45.
  19. He needs to be given a chance to start a couple of games. I mean we have persisted with an out of form and out of goal threat MGP for at least 20 games now, so its time for Sergio to have a chance to stake a claim.
  20. We were rubbish. We are inconsistent and thats disappointing. Honestly we didnt deserve anything from it last night but losing that way was hard to take. Too many players didnt show up last night and unless for Friedel the score would have been 4 or 5 nil. Btw, from the free kick, Neill clearly came through onto Friedels vision and the ball went right past his leg seemingly as if he thought Brad had it covered. Blame to be shared I reckon.
  21. He is a good squad option and I think keeping him is way better than letting him go. No one has said that he will be the pivot which our team is based around.
  22. He looks sluggish and his crosses, set plays and finishing have all deteriorated this season and last season I thought he was largely in for his goal scoring threat cause he wandered out of matches too many times. Now take away his main strength and he doesnt really offer us anything. But for some reason we are thinking that he can ignite any time and come good cause we have seen what he has.
