  1. Are you sure about that?
  2. They will both get 3 points deducted for mixing up on their fixtures
  3. Dont be. Just think about the El Haj Diouff "penalty" that gave notloB the 3 points in extra time at Ewood. After that they never deserve to get another penalty in the next 100 years!
  4. You forgot to add in your memo to MH: Stick tape over the mouths of Bellers and Sav before each game!
  5. For just a small fee I could fix Kuqi up with the necessary documentation to show his English grandparents.
  6. Mendez (sp?) of Pompey ? Looks like Amoruso and plays like Tugay. Very good passer and cannonball shot from distance; accurate too. Cant see Pompey parting with him though, now that they are safe.
  7. Given the present relationship between Big Club (that just got much smaller) and Rovers, I really cant see them letting us have any of their players at anything like a bargain price. Far more likely to try and rip us off to the max possible extent!
  8. Please could I nominate Chelski as No.1?
  9. I doubt if Wenger would be interested. But assuming he did get the job, we would be treated to seeing England playing expansive flowing football, but with a strange tendency for the players to fall over if the wind blew on them.
  10. Nice one Oakland The only thing I disagree on is your scoreline: I think with that line-up it would be 15-0 to Charlton!
  11. Apology accepted NR in the spirit it was intended. Oh, and in answer to your last question: Yes God did make me; He made you too.
  12. Tom Finney and Stan Mathews.
  13. I don't know what you are getting so shirty about NR; the point I was trying to make is that everyone is fully entitled to their opinion on this MB, and however much anyone else may disagree with it they are NOT entitled to ridicule or abuse the person who made the original post. By all means disagree with them, but don't get agressive or personal about it. OK? And by the way, my post was NOT aimed at you or indeed at any individual; if it had been, I would have addressed them. If you care to look back over the last few posts before mine you will see that various people are posting different opinions on things and in several cases they are getting ridiculed or abused by a variety of people.
  14. What happened to the quaint old fashioned idea that people are allowed to have their own opinions on this site?
  15. If that was all it was I wouldn't mind at all and would say "good luck to them". However the reality is that they are a team that deliberately and persistently cheats and gets away with it, and at the same time has the temerity to moan and complain and scream "foul" at every instance they possibly can when any other team gives them a taste of their own medicine. Disgusting, loathsome, cheating scum!
  16. Oh how sweet it would be if your wishes were granted Roverite! You have perfectly captured the words and sentiments that I (and probably most Rovers fans ) have been feeling ever since that sickening, sneering , cheating, smarmy toad of a so-called manager brought his whining team of softies and ham actors to Ewood and refused to shake hands with MH after the match. If all the rest of the world hates Chelski, and Moanio wants to know why; all he needs to do is look in the mirror, and the reason will stare back at him!
  17. These are the very points I was trying to make in my last post. It is not that I don't want Rovers playing in the CL per se, rather that I dont want to see them go in "half cocked" and make a laughing stock of the club as happened last time they were there. That episode took a lot of living down, and there are still occasional snide references to it from various commentators and pundits. What I would prefer to happen is that we get into the EUFA Cup and "test the water" with whatever team Sparky can muster for us during the close season. Then, hopefully, we will do well and can kick on from there, and again hopefully finish next year in a CL spot.
  18. And just at a time when Charlton seem to have found a bit of form!
  19. That just about says what I am feeling too. Last night after watching it on the Sky highlights there was a strong temptation to get straight on here and blast all and sundry (with the exception of Peter and Friedal) but luckily I resisted, and in the morning light rationality has returned. Yes it was a bad one to lose, and we did not play well as a team, but as others have already said in various posts, maybe it is a blessing in disguise that we have been found out. Basically we are a good team that has made a fantastic improvement from last year. But there is obviously still a way to go before we are ready to perform well in European competition, and it is probably best that we don't qualify this year. let's see what further miracles Sparky can work in the close season to strengthen the team overall. Then next year who knows?
  20. And for Rovers to get their ground closed for a season or worse!
  21. Not going to say what I was going to say. Far too depressing.
  22. The cynic in me makes me think that the rule has been changed by FIFA to make the situation deliberately as described above. This enables the match officials to always appear to be "right" any way they see it, and of course it enables them to favour the "big" clubs without appearing to be biased.
  23. Just may be that Sparky wants Gally back for pre-season to assess his capabilities for forming a partnership with Bellers.
  24. Thanks for the help scouser. Unfortunately your post arrived after I had already successfully tried exactly that. Thanks anyway for taking the trouble to reply.
  25. Slightly off topic I know, but does anyone know what the path is to the Accy supporters site? I would like to go on there and offer my congratulations to them where they will be most likely to be seen and read. I have already done so on this site, but just thought there wont be too many Stanley supporters on here tonight!
