  1. 5 nil to the scum..... ......Keane plays his last ever game for manure after T'axe breaks his leg in seventeen places.......... ...Well targeted al qa'ida suicide bombing of owd t'rrific... ..... sir alex the r.f.w sustains a severe dislocation of the coccyx after a well placed kick from HUGHESEYYYYYYY !!!!!!!!!!!!!! following an argument over WHATEVRRRRRRRR..... Good result all round.
  2. Yeh........'course we would...... ...... Every time I try to remember but I always get it wrong..... No matter how I shake my peg.... It always dribbles down my leg.
  3. For what it is worth my wife, who is a nurse, talked to Todd before the game and told me that he looked pale and unwell. She may well know fleurk about football but after hearing that Todd didn't return after half-time due to a viral infection I think the club's explanation was a fair one.
  4. Not too bad but you missed a " fleurklin' " or two there mate.........
  5. We're playing t'arse and many of us believe that we can actually get a result !! I used to hope that we would only lose by a couple in this fixture. I bet that their fans are worried about their lovely boys facing the likes of Neill, T'Axe, T'Admiral, Todd, Flitty, Savage, Dickov etc........ Who remembers Hughesey frightening the hell out of those southern softies from white flag lane in the Worthy final ?? The man is gradually forming a team in His own image and when He brings in another striker in His mould during the summer then it will be one hell of a time to be a Rovers fan next season
  6. Fantastic game I've never been so relaxed at an away game this season. Couldn't see us losing. To those here who decried our attacking play - JUST HOW STUPID ARE YOU?? I have posted at least twice that we have the worst attack in the league. JUST HOW STUPID ARE YOU?? We are playing to our strengths. Isn't that a good idea ......An idea for a poll - and I cannot believe I am actually saying this - The best partnership in the Premiership for Blackburn Rovers - a - Shearer and Sutton b - Todd and Nelsen What the fleukler....... We may not score fluently but it is again a great time to be a Rover
  7. Revidge - you seem to be losing the plot here....... ......If you indulge yourself in a homo-erotic flagellation session with the fleurkler-wits hereabouts then you will end up with shhmmeggggg on your face.... Very few actually care about the bosom fondling clittlerlickinchickinflickin' technical niceties about the game...... WE WON ' COS WE WON 'COS WE WON 'COS WE WON......... ............WE WON 'COS WE WON 'COS WE WON 'COS WE WON........ TAKTIKS IS FER WANKLERS YER FLEURLERERINGLLERTOFFLERNOSERLER................. GORRITT
  8. We won. Shyite game .......... but we won........ Hughes started with the wrong formation but Leicester were dreadful so we still won ( once we swapped to the right formation ). Now we are the underdogs we must keep the same formation that we started with. We probably won't win again in the cup - but who knows ?? At least we, as fans, will be happy to see us try to bore the likes of manure and t'arse off the pitch. Our boys Toddy, t'axe, Dicky, l'savagerler et al maybe will give them a bit of a kicking and we will love them all for it. Another boring one niller to us will be like nectar to the yobs...... Here's hoping... Good night to you all. We won
  9. " sod " - Definition.... " A bit of turf - on a football pitch - for example " " To shaft up the fleuklerin' 'Rsole " " Barsteuwared that we all despise " etc.........etc...........etc.....etc........... [ from the Royal tashorian dictionary ( official offensive version ) ]
  10. Did anybody see Kevler Keegan's comments today. I seem to remember reading much the same on this site a year or so ago. I seem to remember posting much the same on this site a year or so ago. However good the game tonight do not doubt the effect this competition is having on Blackburn Rovers and all outside the top three of the Premiership. Most of you here are massive football fans who have a huge appetite for the game. Those more easily sated armchairfattiefootballerfansforthememories get their fill from games like this and so will not be bothered to waddle down to Ewood on Sunday. The lower gates of teams from Everton all the way down in the Premiership results to a large degree from the ever increasing gulf of the "haves" from the "have nots" making the less committed fans stay at home to vote for " I'm a zzzzzzlevel celebrity give me the money " where they have a far better chance of backing a winner. And who do you think the Blackburn born 'n' bred kids of those fans end up supporting? ( clue - they were playing tonight........) Sorry to be a kill-joy ( NOT ) but if you care for the future health of the premiership and Blackburn Rovers part in it then we all need to join in with Keegan and either reduce the chumpions league to a knock out cup competition from the start or to ensure that it becomes a league for teams who DO NOT play in their own national leagues that season. Then we could enjoy brilliant games like tonight without colluding in the decline of what was - maybe still is, but not for much longer - the most exciting and competitive league in the world.
  11. Dickov's injury isn't serious and he will be fit for Sunday. I think we'll be back to 4-4-2. I agree that we need to play 4 4 2 against teams we can dominate. Back to 4 1 4 1 for the next three league games and the 4 4 2 for the rest of the season ( apart from if we play manure or t'arse at cardiff ). I have started to enjoy this season at last ( mainly thanks to our re-born defence - Nelsen and Todd look the best partnership we have had in years ). If Stead has turned the corner as well we might not have the worst strike force in the Premiership anymore and that combined with an above average defence and good midfield hopefully means we can look forward to becoming a top ten side.
  12. If we play 4 4 2 Everton midfield runners will be all over us. We need to go 4 1 4 1 as per Chelsea. Friedel Neill Nelsen Todd Nissa Mokoena Flitcroft Savage Thompson Reid Pedersen Could maybe get a 1-1 draw with this line up. 3-0 loss if we play a 4 4 2 with Gally and Dickov.
  13. No thread here........ ..........he has been so utterly brilliant and composed that there is nothing at all to debate about tonight's captain. Did I say captain...........should bloody well be Admiral Nelsen
  14. We have a star on our hands. Thanks to Rovers judicious use of the lad he is brimming with confidence and will become a huge Premiership hit. O.K. - in a year ot two he will leave us for a bigger club but at least we will get to enjoy his skills for some time longer and will be compensated for his loss. Cuiccadochuckylovieduckler.......... You owe us one
  15. In my opinion this is even more important than the result
  16. I sit in the J.W. stand lower. The volume for song singing is admittedly very poor but the level for cryptic comments is much better than where I sat in the B.B.E. last home game. You young chavsters may well be loud but you aren't half as interesting or as well informed as t' old "lads" that sit near me. Each to their own - .......but to all you arrogant tosslers who take greater pleasure in dissing their fellow Roverites than they do in slagging off the dingles I would ask you to at least respect all those that pay their own hard earned into the Rovers coffers ( and remember we pay more than you peasants ). Having said that the only reason I sit where I do is that you cannot see what on Ewood is happening from behind the goal...... .........but it doesn't stop you lot boring t'airyarses off us with your post match comments does it
  17. As it happens I know her family. She had a mastectomy for breast cancer when aged only 19. You could not have known that but please let it lie now. Cheers, Tash.
  18. I had a shyite this morning....... Flushed it down the bog straight off.... Don't like to talk about it now........... I've even forgotten it's name................ Left a bit of a smell................. But that's fading now. My favorite cereal is Robbie AllBran. A really regular guy. I love it. PLEASE, PLEASE SHUT UP ABOUT THE PATHETIC NO MARK WEE RUNTLER THAT WIPED IT'S SNOTTY SCOTTY ARSE ON THE GLORIOUS BLUE 'N' WHITE, RHYMES WITH WAYNEGERS NAPPY BRIGADE. NO SURRENDER MY FLEURKLIN' FAT RUDDY SHINY BUTTOCKS. It has gone haaaame.....let it be..........
  19. longsiders1882 and 1864roverite........ .........The opposite sides of the same coin. Don't you just love 'em?? Football would be much the poorer without such gems
  20. This is certainly our biggest game of the season so far. Win and we will have a buffer to protect us from the lack of points we will gain in our next few games against the top sides. Lose and we will join the bottom four as genuine relegation fodder. I think we may well draw 1-1 and just keep out of the drop zone for the rest of the season which will continue to be miserable and nerve testing, unless we change our side for this game. We are at home and unlike most recent games when safety at the back has been foremost I would like to see us go for the jugular and attack one of the few teams below us. I'd play a 4:4:2 with the midfield wide men pushing forward and staying on the wings. Let them worry about us attacking . Brad - stick with him. Nelsen - I would like to play an in form Neill at right back and get him to push forwards but he has been so poor of late it is time to drop him completely. Todd - obvious choice. Mokoena - still raw but I prefer him to the rest. Amoruso might give us an attacking boost but would be a huge risk and is often a liability. Johansson - better in all aspects than Matteo. A problem position yet again. Emerton - always looks better playing wide in a 4:4:2. MUST have a big game for us to win. He owes us one at least. Savage - with Todd, Dickov and Brad the only guaranteed starter. Tugay - this is the critical pick for this game. Who will Hughes pick ( bet he sticks with Thommo who has disappointed me). We need to open Norwich up frequently to give our powderpuff strike force plenty of chances. Savage was bought to play with that pathetic little scottish laddie. Tugay may be long in the tooth but on his day is still much better than hewhoicantbebotheredtoname and Savage will cover the gaps to allow Tugay the chance to show us his passing range. Pedersen - not the game to be defensive in. He is probably the best finisher we have but looks much more comfortable wide in a 4:4:2 - what was that 4:5:1 all about?? Dickov - has to start all league games if fit until we sign a premiership level striker. I do not understand though why Hughes is so reluctant to sub him when he has run himself ragged with 15 minutes left. He does not look fully fit and we must all find that of real concern. Gally and Johnson look like good substitutes but neither should be starting for a top flight club - unless they are being prepared for next seasons chumpionship. Stead - hard choice and has not looked good alongst Dickov but he is still working hard. When he gets a goal at last then his mental dam will break and he will start scoring every three or four games. The only way I can see us having a comfortable run in is for this to happen soon. Hughes has sorted out what was the leagues most woeful defence but must show he has the right tactics in games when we should at least hope if not expect to win. Crowd - ? around 19,000. Pity - this is THE game we need to be supported in - not next weeks side show. It would be interesting to run a poll on which of our next two games would Rovers fans prefer to win if we could ONLY pick one. I know which I would pick and I am already trembling in dread about this game.
  21. I wish Northerners would not lump every thing South of Birmingham as The South. Have you ever been South? Your description sounds like the South-East and not teh South West. The South West has a lot more identity than The North. This is probably due to, as you would say, most of the North is an homogenized area anyhow when compared with the South West. True......................
