  1. Way to go lads. I smell another Mowbray death spiral coming on here.
  2. Surely Ayala had to start today. It’s almost as if Mowbray didn’t realise until he was through the door that he may not work well with Lenihan.
  3. Farke alluded to Trybull being a bit of a problem child unless I’m mistaken when they got shot of him. Perhaps this is one whom Mowbray didn’t do his character homework on. Either way - agreed - if we can let him return in January then I would and put that wage towards a much needed renewal or two!
  4. Personally I don’t think we’ll win, but surely a draw isn’t a good result today after collecting one point from our previous two matches? At what point do we need to start winning matches against the teams above us? Bloody soon IMO if we ever are to challenge for the top 6.
  5. Yep. I thought we’d beat Bristol City so what do I know, but I’m quite convinced we’ll lose this one. We’ve been pretty pitiful at home despite the last two results and I just don’t think we have it in us to beat the very best teams in the division right now.
  6. Amen. I know who my money would be on out of us two to finish higher.
  7. Tongue in cheek. And no I’m not suggesting they wouldn’t improve most teams in the division. What I am saying is a fair few folk are excusing poor results because of missing those two. Which is all well and good but for the whole of Mowbray’s tenure we have crumbled whenever we’ve got within sight of the play offs. I can’t see it being any different this year - regardless of those two being back fit.
  8. Are you expecting us to win pretty much every game in the new year ‘when we get Dack and Trav back’? Seems like half the board are.
  9. The two I mentioned need a break. I don’t rate Buckley as much as some on here but he has got some creativity about him and can at least play a forward pass. Perhaps give Davenport a start too.
  10. Completely agreed on the player reviews. At one point earlier in the season I was wondering if Travis would get straight back in but only Rothwell has shown any form of consistency in the middle of the park this season. Johnson is either an 8/9 or a 5/6 and Holtby just hasn’t been effective of late at all. Both look like they need a breather - I’d be tempted to bring in Buckley for one of them with home games coming up as he could be the man to carve the opposition open at home - something we’ve struggled with this season.
  11. He has been anonymous for a few games now. I personally think the writing is on the wall that he’ll head back to Germany or similar at the end of the season. I gather his missus lives their full time with his new born kid - must be quite a strain on their relationship and lifestyle!
  12. Nobody should be surprised at Douglas’ lack of pace - he’s never had any. Fans from previous clubs say he’s poor defensively too but awesome going forward. We’ve seen zilch from him going forward yet, so perhaps that’ll come soon with some match sharpness.
  13. Eh? Beat Norwich (which we won’t as they’re a top half team) and it’d be 4 points from 9. How’s that a very good week?
  14. Forget the top 6. We can’t beat the top 12!
  15. And also, can nobody please say ‘we dominated - look at the stats’. I’m sat here struggling to think of one effort we had in the box outside of Ayala’s free header. 95% of them at least must have been from 25 yards+.
  16. I don’t know why any of us, including me, seem slightly surprised, as we’ve seen this script a hundred times it would seem under Mowbray. We simply won’t get in the top six under the bloke.
  17. Unless I’m mistaken the top team we’ve beaten this season is Preston who are 13th. Promotion? Pah.
  18. Oh FFS. Dreadful. And we have been for the last ten or so. Douglas has been utter sh*te too.
  19. Literally beat me to it. Haven’t been on the ball at all since the change. Need to change something here. COYB.
  20. Johnson not on his game tonight for me, too slow and ponderous on the ball. COYB, let’s get one before half time.
  21. Such an open game. We look like we could score every time we go forward.
  22. We are proving far far too easy to cut open. Nobody putting in a challenge when they break.
  23. It’ll be absolutely huge if Ayala has finally landed and can maintain that sort of form - especially how short we are with numbers!
  24. Stop with the constant digs and just enjoy it. Jeez.
  25. Get in!!! Bristol City won one in six at home. We’ll do them.
