  1. A beautiful sight imo
  2. Well, technically it's a Mini SNES (and a mini NES) but I do have an actual SNES & Super Famicom too. The minis are a lot easier to set up though, and the HDMI output looks great. Hoping that one day SEGA will put out a Master System & Mega Drive mini, but for the time being the original consoles will have to do.
  3. Evans, Smallwood, Mulgrew and Graham were all recently given new contracts so yeah, you'd expect them to be around next season. There wasn't any interest in Evans even when we got relegated, Smallwood came to us on a free from Rotherham and Mulgrew/Graham are at the tail ends of their respective careers, probably on a very decent wage here. I'd expect Bennett to stay purely because of his versatility. Del Boy is somehow contracted to 2021 and I don't see many people coming in to take him from us. Conway is the only one I could see going as his contract expires in the summer and he hasn't played that much this season. Possible he could retire into a coaching role with us, but at 33 he might still feel he has a few years left in the tank north of the border.
  4. They should be travelling to Akihabara instead.
  5. Everyone remembers King for those performances in the FA Cup - mainly because he didn't do a whole lot for us outside of that. Now granted a lot of that was down to Bowyer's tactics/style and how we were using King (if Bowyer decided to select him at all), but there wasn't exactly uproar when he left. Some disappointment that we'd let his contract run down but that's about it. He's obviously done very well since then and in retrospect we weren't utilising him properly at all, but hindsight is what it is. Bowyer never liked using fast or skilful players so it was never going to work out for King here. Rhodes aside you had to be a grafter first and foremost to get anywhere near a GB starting eleven. Unfortunately as a result towards the end of GB's reign especially we ended up with eleven cloggers on the pitch who worked hard but were as entertaining as paint drying on the proverbial wall.
  6. Chris Taylor sticking the boot in as well!
  7. The beauty of an Everdrive cartridge is that I can do just that As an aside a store in Belgium is currently doing the PS1 Classic for £26.42 (including delivery): https://www.smartoys.be/catalog/ It has a lot of flaws but can be hacked pretty easily these days so probably worth buying at that price. Will just have to see how long it takes to get here!
  8. Can't beat a bit of old school gaming
  9. No, I've never really been big on the series. I played 7 but that's just because it was in VR!
  10. All I remember about the early Resident Evil games is despising the control schemes. It might be better on the remakes, but I'm not sure I'm willing to take the risk... So instead I bought Horizon Zero Dawn. Have heard it's a good game.
  11. Please confirm they removed those god awful tank controls - or at least made them optional?
  12. This season in the league, four times: Stoke 2-3 Rovers Rovers 4-2 Sheff Weds Rovers 3-0 Hull Rovers 3-0 Wigan Not sure how that compares with other teams in the division.
  13. Yep, another two weeks extentsion granted as Anderson has another mystery buyer lined up
  14. I'll believe it when I see it.
  15. We've got plenty of players who can "move" but most of the time give us sod all in return. Meanwhile Graham is our top scorer. Think there are a lot of positions to look at before talking about replacing DG.
  16. In the nearly 9 years Venky's have been here this has been a consistent theme. Defence has never been the focus and as a result we've consistently fallen short of expectations and ultimately regressed to the point where fans are patting Mowbray on the back just for keeping us in the Championship (albeit potentially at a lower points total than when we got relegated in 16/17). Appleton and Lambert both spoke about sorting out the defence but were out the door way before this could realistically be implemented.
  17. Spot on. Over two and a half years and we still have no identity when it comes to how we play football whatsoever. Almost every time we play our supposedly target formation with three at the back we look absolutely dreadful. Rather than stick with it we revert to a sludgy 4-2-3-1 which has worked intermittently but only when Dack or Graham has a stormer. Otherwise we're as bad playing 4-2-3-1 as we are 5-3-2 or whatever it is the three at the back is supposed to be.
  18. What a fantastic job Bruce has done so far at Sheff Weds. They were an absolute shambles when we played them a few months ago, and now they're rocketing up the league. No matter what you think of how they played today, our teams have essentially swapped positions since we hammered them 4-2. Now we're the team who can't defend and are struggling to pick up any semblance of form.
  19. If Conway is a good influence around the place then keep him on as a coach next year, if he's ready to retire. If not then good luck elsewhere.
  20. Hope he's gone by the summer. If we do have any kind of budget he will waste it.
  21. 27 shots in the Leeds/Sheffield Utd game... One on target, which went in.
  22. Doesn't seem like any have come from Mulgrew assisting (although I'm also interested to know if that stat is legit or whether the website has incorrect info). If so then it would suggest Mulgrew is good at hitting the goal from set pieces but not so much creating assists for team mates to score. Obviously we also have to take into account how poor our players not named Graham, Dack and Mulgrew are at scoring goals, too.
  23. I don't think he has any? https://www.whoscored.com/Players/19556/Show/Charlie-Mulgrew
  24. Well as far as his league goals for this season are concerned... Reading 2-2 Rovers - got us a point here through scoring two pens. Obviously credit has to be given to McShane for giving us the chance to do so, but still, a goal's a goal. Bristol City 4-1 - safe to say his goal here didn't mean much, would have preferred better defending Swansea 3-1 Rovers - as above Boro 1-1 Rovers - contrived to draw after Mulgrew put us ahead, despite Boro being down to ten for a major chunk of the match Leeds 3-2 Rovers - Mulgrew scored both but considering he was part of the defence who conceded two in the last two minutes, again, would have preferred he did his job defensively Rovers 2-1 WBA - scored the opener Birmingham 2-2 Rovers - another game we managed to draw after being 2-1 up, Mulgrew scored our equaliser in the 52nd minute Rotherham 3-2 Rovers - scored a worthless 93rd minute penalty So overall Mulgrew's goals have helped earn us 5 combined points, although in two of those games we were leading before the customary defensive collapse. None of his goals this season have been decisive winners. Bradley Dack is the MVP in this regard, with Graham not far behind.
  25. Scholes has resigned from Oldham already 31 days.
