  1. This is a bit of a strange perception, isn't it? You state the majority are wrong in believing Battersby and Currie can do anything to save the club, then use what you perceive to be an error to endorse a viewpoint. Baffling.
  2. Considering he's trying to take the club away from Venky's it wouldn't make much sense for him to say the opposite and upset them even more, would it? They don't talk to him as it is, if he started endorsing conspiracy theories he could well and truly forget it.
  3. Unfortunately certain people are itching for it to do so. Not sure how anybody could possibly feel anything other than constant contempt and hatred for Venky's. They've inflicted enough damage on this club to last a lifetime, and may well have ruined the possibility of a lot of young lads having a proper local team to support in future. Dissipating ill feeling? Never.
  4. He'l have to be patient and wait a few years then.
  5. I don't want Ali at the club in any role. I don't care if it's a coach of a @#/? ballboy. He has no business at this club. If he wants to start a coaching career I'm sure there are some non-league clubs who would give him some work experience. He can start there instead of using personal influence to get a role he's completely unqualified for here.
  6. Oh it definitely isn't. I knew the silence had been stretching on for too long. Venky's have clearly been itching to do something stupid and apparently can't wait much longer.
  7. Seemed like a normal enough poster up until recently, seemed to go right off the deep end. Odd.
  8. If he was an animal he would have been put down by now.
  9. It'll go 3 or 4 rounds max imo, can't see Floyd allowing it to go any further.
  10. Khan set to fight Floyd Mayweather on May 3rd. A total mismatch imo but win-win for Khan. He'll get an absolute fortune and even if he totally embarrasses himself people will say "well, it was Mayweather" and think no less of him. It's not like he'll be ranked any lower if he loses and there's always the chance of a lucky punch.
  11. An interesting story coming out of this one, apparently this is essentially a firing being masqueraded as a retirement. At a recent WWE event Ric Flair got a little crazy (there's a shock) and embarrassed the company. J.R. was "in charge" of overseeing things and apparently Vince was so irritated at this incident he's essentially terminated J.R.'s contract.
  12. I reckon he'll be back for some one-off gigs. Retirement is very rarely permanent in wrestling!
  13. Good ol' JR has announced his retirement.
  14. Going on the road has caused TNA's production costs to skyrocket ($600,000 per episode) and their ratings haven't increased at all - gone down, actually. It's no wonder there are talent being cut. Think it's a matter of time until TNA folds tbh, they just don't have the TV exposure to become a successful business venture. Spike TV is not TNT, and Bob Carter is not Ted Turner. They can bring in Jeff Hardy, Sting, Hogan, whoever... it will never improve. TNA will make losses until it is shut down.
  15. Rumour is also that it will be Cena Vs Undertaker at next year's WM.
  16. My condolences to the family. RIP.
  17. defo some easy money to be made there if you study the business.
  18. The logo works pretty well with the shirt.
  19. Delighted to see Spain finally put to the sword by somebody, it's been a long time coming.
  20. Spain are boring whether playing in the heat or not. They play very effective football and deserve the success they've had, but it's so boring watching them win everything. Have no doubt they'll scrape a win against Brazil in the final, and probably win WC 2014 as well.
  21. I don't care for any of the McMahon nonsense, but that was the best I've ever seen Henry on the mic.
  22. Glen Jacobs is quite an intelligent bloke by all accounts. If Jesse Ventura can get elected, no reason Kane can't. You have to imagine the Katie Vick storyline might come back to haunt him though...
  23. A great age, considering his fellow wrestlers Haystacks and Big Daddy died much younger.
  24. Cheers Tom, it looks decent! I might have to give them a look at some point, though I'm not sure how close they come to these parts of the country. I'm debating going to see TNA when they come over in January, but I'm really irritated with how they're handling their product right now so I might not bother. As an aside, how bad is Raw right now? 3 hours of some of the worst television you're likely to see anywhere. We're truly back in 1994 when the WWF was awful and WCW wasn't big enough to challenge for supremacy. Except this time there's no Ted Turner and no TNT to push the opposition to the next level
  25. Any chance of doing a short review Tom? I'd be interested to know how the event worked, what the matches were like, etc... Btw guys, sorry to be the bearer of bad news... but turns out Matt Morgan hates us.
