  1. That T20 game was pretty damned poor. Won the toss, knew the weather forecast and rightfully chose to bat second, yet played in a clueless manner. I heard that 28-0 from 5 overs would have won the game (normally a walk in the park) - yet they never seemed to be playing for the D/L score at any time. You could argue that the bowling was quite good, but still, the way they batted didn't make any sense whatsoever. It's now looking likely we could end up being the worst defending Champions ever.
  2. The Download crowd in general were strange (possibly too many 'scene kids' and internet fans at festivals these days?) as there were a lot of people complaining about the head-liners - including Sabbath. One thing people do forget is that Ozzy is 67 FFS! (probably with a body age 10 years older than that). He is literally a pensioner whose jump kicking days are well over. I'm not sure what people expected.
  3. Is anyone going to Glastonbury? I'm not. But I remember it wasn't all that long ago that you could buy a ticket several weeks before the event.
  4. Thanks. Might give one of them a try soon. I take it none of them are comedies as (aside from Californication - at times) I can't stand comedy series. Fortunately I don't have an other half forcing me to watch dross like How I Met Your Mother and Orange Is The New Black etc. Also, whilst I'm in confession mode I'd like to take this opportunity to reveal that I'm probably the only Western guy on the planet that's never had to endure a full episode of Friends. Thanks for listening
  5. Okay. So I need a new series to watch. In recent years I've enjoyed stuff like; The Sopranos, Boardwalk Empire, Lost, Californication, Deadwood, Black Sails, Vikings, The Walking Dead, Game of Thrones, Spartacus, Rome. Any recommendations?
  6. FFS! I'm so glad I bought a 3000m waterproof tent and some decent wellies \m/
  7. That was a Blackburn v Spursesque performance if ever there was one. Shocking!
  8. Nowhere near that target. As they say about that other Yorkshire team that won the Football Championship! "That's why they're Champions". I just hope for better in the T20 on Friday as that will be my first game of the season.
  9. Oh dear! How the worm has turned. Yorkshire got over 300 and Lancs getting torn apart 92-7
  10. Top top top top top of the league :tu: ! Not bad so far from the "relegation favourites".
  11. Admittedly I only watched from 70 minutes onwards. But from what I saw Wimbledon just looked better.
  12. Well this seems like far more of a fair fight than than Europa League massacre.
  13. I was going to ask about the away goal rule (if any).
  14. Damned, only channel I can't get a good one of! That's been stuck on a loop of Paul Merson for several months,
  15. What channels are stanley on? I can watch both.
  16. Keeping the Liverpool link like a true TV professional This is pretty much my first (and only) memory of Accrington Stanley. . . . https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pieK7b4KLL4 Though of course I should state that if pushed I'd 'casually support' Accrington Stanley if I was watching a play-off final on TV. Just so long as it's not against Rovers in 2018 (League 1).
  17. Same for me. In fact I have more 'affiliation' with Wimbledon. As I remember being at junior school in May 1988 - when literally ALL the glory hunters supported Liverpool....needless to say the Monday after the FA Cup final was a better day
  18. But people are saying they are sick of the T20 but it hasn't even started yet.
  19. Wonder if he practised the windmill in training. That's some pretty decent hardcore dancing right there.
  20. 109 all out after losing the toss. That's some going.
