  1. Well he'll have to get back to that. 10 wickets on the last day on a 'still decent pitch'??? #SpiritOf2011
  2. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y0qv1_U53Go If you squint your eyes from 01:43 it could almost be Chris Brown.
  3. When we're in the same league there could be a '1992 situation' all over again. With fans having to decide on their no.1 club.
  4. Sounds like the EU dictatorship (apart from the happy part). Anyway, well done Lancs on a smashing performance!!
  5. I see Lancs have started the season well. I know it's only the first 2 days.........but to lose the toss and bowl Notts out and then get a first innings lead (still with wickets to go) is no mean feat - especially since they are most people's relegation candidates this season - mostly due to a fragile batting line-up.
  6. Ahhh, nationality and parentage...the debate that will never end.... Was George Orwell a famous Indian novelist? As he doesn't look so Venky to me.......... Anyway, Morgan probably dislikes England deep down.........I've noticed he never sings the National anthem (as he'd probably get vilified back in his native Ireland).
  7. It's possibly better (and definitely cheaper) to watch a professional covers group these days.
  8. That's a bit of a shock. Touted future England Captain, age 26. At least he's in good hands.
  9. That rematch was never going to happen.
  10. Those are the kind of quotes I heard. Along with women and children were being stomped all over.
  11. The mystery surrounding the Ewood Park attendance figures may have inexplicably been solved.
  12. Download 2006 seemed like a right old knees up. "Riot police stormed the campsite".
  13. Telling me. Talk about bad winners. If Samuels was a footballer he'd certainly be a 'chicken dancer'. http://www.espncricinfo.com/icc-world-twenty20-2016/content/story/994985.html
  14. That's the worst thing about it. The only thing that would have made this weekend worse would have been a Brown equaliser in the last minute and then a Preston winner in the 93rd. I was quite relaxed at the half way stage as we had no chance - then they got into a position where most neutrals were calling England favourites - yet they still managed a way to choke spectacularly. It's England to a T.
  15. That was an almighty fail right at the end. I hate sport. I'll give Euro 2016 a miss this year.
  16. Nowhere near enough runs. But still............ if they get a couple of wickets early up there could yet still be hope, but it feels similar to half time yesterday (resigned to defeat).
  17. Do you know where The Samaritans are in Blackburn?
  18. I meant coming back. I didn't mind so much getting stranded on a bank holiday weekend a while back as there were loads of clubs open until 4am. But even Manchester nightlife is pretty grim on any normal Sunday. Just can't afford a night of accommodation (+ transport, gig ticket, food and beer). Something has got to give.... may as well save some pennies and see if Download is a viable option this year (only 10 weeks to go).
  19. Well that was pretty amazing - England in the final against Windies (not just a one-man team after all). Not many people predicted that. Looking forward to the final on Sunday where the crowd will mostly be against England. Hopefully Windies will field as bad as they did yesterday. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/cricket/35937515
  20. I heard about a massive scrap at a rugby league game. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/rugby-league/35914889 Though it looks like handbags and women's exaggerations looking at that video.
  21. He even mentions he's from Manchester in the TV series Deadwood.
  22. Last train back to Blackburn on a Sunday is before 10pm (and the bus is 6:45pm) so no post-Lancashire derby gig this weekend. Just when did the public transport become THAT lame?
