  1. 759-7dec Damned! Bring KP back (he can bowl spin can't he?) . I know a lot of people were expecting a 5-0 whitewash in India (thank the gods for that non-turning opener). But after winning 4 out of the 5 tosses might one have expected England to win at least 1 test match? Hopefully the batsmen can show a bit of grit on the last day, though bearing in mind previous collapses It's looking like a 4-0 series thumping
  2. I wonder how many people got up at stupid o'clock to watch that.
  3. I don't watch much boxing but that was a proper fight. Everyone may as well go to bed now as i doubt the Joshua fight can top that.
  4. Word on the strip is that in the future Jennings would bat at 3 with Cook and Hameed opening and Root 'freed-up' at 4.
  5. https://www.theguardian.com/music/2016/dec/02/adele-tickets-appear-online-for-9000-despite-singers-efforts-to-stop-touts £9 grand to see Adele anyone? I always said these legal professional tout sites are worse than actual touts. Something else to blame on Rothschild and co.
  6. I fell for this hook, line and sinker. Those were the daze.
  7. This is more like what most people expected - A thorough thrashing after losing the toss. In truth India could declare now if they fancied a day and bit off.
  8. We were always going to be up against it after losing the toss - though we made a good start and the run-out chance and dropped catch certainly didn't help. Nice to see the Burnley lad has still got it at least - 3 for 44 - pretty decent figures on his return.
  9. Aussie Aussie Aussie! I can't imagine the press over there being much less scathing than in England. I might have to have a quick read and a chuckle or two.
  10. It looks like Lancs will have to find another opener.
  11. So much for India preparing a pitch that spins sideways. England can't really lose the game from here - but their openers never looked in any trouble - so it remains to be seen if we can bowl them out tomorrow and put the pressure on.
  12. But football is in another World where there are massive rewards for failure. Just look at all the managers that get sacked and paid off - and then walk into another job. In any other field of work they would practically become unemployable.
  13. Watford. The chance to play them again would be a fine thing - a fine thing indeed.
  14. I think Barnsley will go down.
  15. I swear I once saw a documentary about a guy that went round killing grey squirrels (he wasn't a Racoon mind, nor a guy in a Racoon suit).
  16. Morgan leading from the front like a good captain.
  17. Somerset had no chance really. The Middlesex v Yorkshire game was always going to be a result game. As for Lancs. What a load of @#/?. Lucky to stay up in the end, though I suspect they weren't really bothered either way.
  18. In a true JFK moment. I was in there when Princess Diana died. Though I can't recall that "Goodbye Axl Rose" song being on the jukebox (jukebox? seriously, that sounds so ancient now, lol).
  19. My dad said that once upon a time people used to come from London for a night out at The Cavendish.
  20. Much needed money for the club gangstas!
  21. Proper Italian food then. The reason I don't eat Italian when I go out is that it's normally just Pizza and Pasta (i.e. - easy student food).
  22. Supposedly only Sussex, Surrey and Kent voted against it.
  23. Blackburn is completely dead isn't it? That's all I hear from the taxi drivers every time I come back. I'd hate to be growing up there nowadays. I guess that's what happens when the 'demographics' of a town change dramatically.
  24. I was going to say. Pakistan must be a prosperous Country if near on 15,000 of them can fly over here for a one-off (and fairly meaningless) T20 game. to support their country. Where are these guys getting their money from? Long haul aint cheap - and neither is Manchester.
  25. England and spin Could get a pasting in India.
