  1. Top top top top! Top of the league!!!!!!!!!!
  2. England STILL not quite there (as always). Even when we're good you can't help but feel there's always something a bit flakey about the team. Like in the 4th game - so many chances to win it yet ultimately they flaked out and ended up losing,
  3. True. The season (as far as thinking top 6) was over before the new manager came in - after 3 wins in 16. It was always (and still is) all about next season and as far as that's concerned it makes little difference in real terms whether we finish 21st or in the lofty heights of 12th. There are some dross teams down at the bottom of the division that should ensure that we'll only need to scrape a few more points here and there - which should be easy enough as no matter how bad we've been we've rarely been dominated entirely by the opposition like some of those other aforementioned dross teams that have taken a few absolute spankings.
  4. The results weren't THAT bad today. Both Charlton and Rotherham failed to score and win at home and Notlob lost once again!!! The games are running out for everyone and better to be the team with points in the bag.
  5. I find that very difficult to believe by the way, but there you go!
  6. Gonna watch the cricket highlights instead of MOTD.
  7. LOL. To think we got within a point or so of a promotion thread.
  8. That's the thing about boxing. Most seem to know in advance.........
  9. What a surprise there will be a Fury Klit-shcho rematch. Yawn!
  10. How long will we have to wait for the inevitable rematch?
  11. Not that interested in boxing but I watched the fight. Looked like a cruise for Fury.....and it didn't seem like he had to do that much. Easy easy easy!
  12. I'm watching that game. Found it accidentally whilst looking what's on today. 2-0 to Rovers so far.
  13. Surely 6th in the cricket world rankings is almost minnow territory? But we won the Ashes!!!!!!!!
  14. That's why we won't go down - no matter how bad we are there are 4-6 worse teams.
  15. That's what I thought. Also Ansari has dislocated his thumb celebrating his call-up.
  16. I once drank "Super Snakebite" - Special Brew and Super Strongbow mix (had to remain at least half classy by not sinking to 'Frosty Jacks level). Can't remember what happened much after that
  17. That was shocking! Turned over to football after we were essentially 27-5 and that was shocking too. Feel a bit for the sell-out crowd as they are going to see one-sided game - but that's sport.
  18. It's safe to say that if we finish below NotLob we'll be going down.
  19. Proper cricket ooop North and a proper atmosphere too. The crowds are MUCH better up here. All the Southern crowds are practically comatose (with the possible exception of Chelmsford, Essex - where they can get a bit rowdy from time to time).
  20. I'm still waiting.................. By the way, WTF has happened with the trains back to Blackburn from Manchester? Last time I came back the train took about a 3 days and it went to Burnley first. WTF?? And now I see there's a replacement bus service which takes about a week.
  21. Yeah. In slow-mo it looked like he purposely stopped the ball. But seriously at the speed that was going without even looking at the ball - if he did that on purpose he must be some kind of super human. Still the Aussie appealed and then it was up to the umpires. Technology is great, but sometimes I think it's used just for the sake of it. Take that six for example - the fielder signalled it was a six - so why did they then proceed to show 5 different replays of the 'catch' before they made a decision? Conceivably he could have been given out, as from those replays it wasn't 100% he'd touched the rope. Anyway 2-0 down..............after 2 games at Southern softie grounds it's time for cricket to come home for the next 3.
  22. It was the same for me regarding the beer. It's quite dangerous when you start at 11am. Stokes out 'obstructing the field'. That's pretty rare. Anyway, it looks like we'll be 2-0 down by Tuesday and those with tickets for the Sunday ODI at OT might well be seeing a dead rubber.
  23. At least the "graeme le saux" Champions league thrown-in had a bit of finesse even if ultimately it was just as useless.
