Thank God Lancashire have shown more than just a bit of backbone down the order after yesterdays late collapse. Last wicket partnership put on almost 100 runs.
England need similar.
Rebellion has sold out (inc. the Saturday day tickets)
Looks like it might have to be a couple of day tickets and a '5 hours 3 rides' visit to The Pleasure Beach
So. I might be back in Lancs for my winter holiday soon.
The Rebellion festival in August (4-7th) in Blackpool seems like a good crack (loads of proper old school classic punk bands on the line-up).
Has anyone been? I bet it's a riot - chav town during tourist season + punks.
With the keany summer weather (mostly). It's probably the way to go.
A good old 5-5 bash in the drizzle.
There are obvious similarities between Lancs CCC and Rovers (especially this season).
Lack of ambition on the pitch - Survival in the division a priority (practically gave up the other 2 competitions). Miserly player acquisition - cash funneled elsewhere.
I don't know what happened to Lancs this year. It's as if Woy clueless Hodson took over - just no plan at all in T20 - an ever changing team and batting order. Just appalling all the way through.
As for England. Well I won't worry just yet. From memory (not sure if stats will back this up - I'll have to check) we are always crap at the supposed home of cricket. I suspect we'll get back into it at the other grounds - where they usually feel like away games against Pakistan (there's that many of them).
Moores can't really hit it off the square can he.
On paper that looked a very weak Lancs team out there tonight. Though they still managed to get in a favourable position - then throw it away.
It's certainly good when you like more than one sport. I'm not even bothered about Monday night any more . . .
Come on England Cricket and Come on Lancs!!!
