  1. I would just love to know what Tony says when he gets these 'calls from India asking about how Brereton is fitting into the team' etc.
  2. Going off Saturday I'd say at least 3-1 Wigan. Dodgy formation again? . . ..Hmmm. Normally I'd be semi confident of a 2-1 away win.
  3. They are talking about this on Radio Lancs right now. (I believe it's mainly highlights of the Supporters Consultation Meeting from last week)
  4. I dodged a cannonball (by not being able to get a ticket for Dump-dale). The all round England performance was diabolical - and I include the coaches and all the other staff in that - who having won the toss then decided to bat first and suffered the known evening dew - making gripping the ball difficult when bowling second. But ultimately Australia are a much better team and had they not been an absolute joke in the field, shelling loads of catches and missing easy run out chances they could have made it even more embarrassing for England. Overall the standard of fielding and catching in women's cricket is terrible and certainly gives justification to now banned/offensive to the snowflake brigade comments like (*TRIGGER WARNING) 'throw like a girl' etc. ? Rather similarly in women's football it seems to be the goalkeepers that are routinely worse than amateurish. I don't know what it is with women - but it appears they have some issues with balls. ? The standard of umpiring was also generally poor. The worst one was when an England top order player was given out lbw even though she inside edged it onto pad - it was immediately reviewed by the (*no TRIGGER WARNING) batswoman yet the DRS umpire rushed through the decision and gave her out when it was shown that there were 2 noises bat then pad on the 'snicko'. It was made to look even more amateurish by the fact that in the Sri Lanka v England game, walking wicket Ali was reprieved in almost exactly the same way by DRS less than 24 hours previous on the very same SkySports channel. Back to the men. It's looking like a 3-0 now. Again the on-field umpiring is bad enough there, but at least DRS does it's job.
  5. These 2 teams have a LOT of previous (including some kind of pepper spray incident a few years back). With that it mind you would have thought that riding in on a massively obvious team bus whilst some of their team/entourage bang on the windows in an obvious wind-up attempt might not be the most intelligent thing to do.,
  6. Women's T20 final on now. England v Australia. What a bonus! It's so much better when you're staying in a place with SkySports (and you're not paying) ?
  7. I thought you were getting back on topic ?
  8. As with the first leg, the 2nd leg of the River Plate (2) v Boca Juniors (2) final has also been postponed until the Sunday . . this time due to the Boca Juniors team bus being attacked by rival fans. It sounds almost as bad as Liverpool. ? ?
  9. "I’ve tried not to be too harsh on them" That's very worrying, very worrying indeed.
  10. To be fair to the lad Brereton took his goal well. Definitely not offside from the header, and it's very debatable whether Dack actually touched it when he went for the ball with the defender. We need DRS.
  11. I was watching him when Nyambe charged down the right and cut the ball back and he was literally slow jogging.
  12. There's no shying away from it, that was the kind of performance where players should be paying travelling fans ticket and travelling expenses. A spunkless disgrace!
  13. 5minutes added time just proves that they often just make this figure up.
  14. During the last 5 mins we've been 'playing' like one of those soft teams that don't like the manager. Where's the fight and team spirit?
  15. We need to be more professional whenplaying teams with game breaking tactics. Completely went to sleep. Still on for Mercer's 3-3.
  16. I put the stopwatch on the 2 recent injury stoppages and it was 4minutes.
  17. Has anybody here tried to put square pegs in round holes? Just wondering how it worked out...
  18. All in all Preston have just showed Premiership finishing 2 chances and 2 goals. We could have had 3 (if you include Mulgrew's free kick)...yet we're still at ground zero.. It's a worryingly familiar pattern
  19. The iFollow commentators are echoing a lot that's being said here..... Questioning Mowbray's formation and team selection and wondering what the 7million dollar man must be thinking on the bench. And yes they are still irritatingly behind the visuals.
