  1. Four 'everythings'......?? The Jam - But I'm Different Now with the riff leaning heavily on The Beatles' Doctor Robert
  2. Indeed. There was a lot of post-1989 revisionism in relation to the reporting of the behaviour of LFC fans. They were one of the worst lot during the 70s and 80s.
  3. Everything But the Girl - Me and Bobby D
  4. 10CC - Rubber Bullets
  5. Oh Mark what have you done mate? I’m gonna have to cheat this along a bit: Laurel and Hardy - Trail of the Lonesome Pine
  6. Paul McCartney and Wings - Maybe I’m Amazed
  7. The Clash - Train in Vain
  8. Yeah RIP Bob Willis. He’s only been ill for a wee while and as gumboots says, 70 is no age these days.
  9. The Supremes - Back in My Arms Again
  10. We got ambushed on our way back to our coach that day - a Darwen lad (Dave Baker?) took a particularly bad kicking if I remember correctly. My cousin (who shall remain nameless here for obvious reasons) also got battered on his way back to said coach, with the irony being he was actually a Liverpool supporter. Liverpool were the best team in Europe then, who would have thought 15 or 16 years later we would have been going back there to become champions of England!?
  11. Three eyes..... Billy Fury - Half Way to Paradise
  12. Franki Valli - My Eyes Adored You
  13. I see 'limited numbers' of the third kit have just been released.... https://www.roverstore.co.uk/3rd-kit/adult-and-junior/1904_rovers-1920-adult-3rd-shirt.html
  14. Nick Drake - Way to Blue
  15. Tim Hardin - If I Were a Carpenter
  16. Three wills.... John Lennon - Power to the People
  17. Robert Wyatt - Free Will and Testament
  18. The Specials - Too Much Too Young
  19. Crikey how must Tim Flowers be feeling right now!?
  20. Being ‘in the public domain’ doesn’t make them accurate though.
  21. Each to their own but if you’d rather play Birmingham away than Burnley then that’s your prerogative mate. Personally finding it hard to get excited about that draw tbh.
  22. My point wasn’t about the age he is now but the age at which he started. Most players (Giggs and Ronaldo excepted) only have so many games in their legs. Milner - who also began his pro career at 16 - is currently finding that out and he (as I stated earlier) is held up as someone who has looked after himself. How old was Cowans when he signed for Rovers?
  23. It’s a very strange negotiating tactic wouldn’t you say?
  24. Those last two sentences of Mowbray’s are disgraceful.
