  1. Behave mate there are 85 minutes left yet. Let’s hope the players have clearer heads than you
  2. He’s got a lot of talent but can’t follow simple instructions at times, which is why he was shipped out on loan to learn from his mistakes at another club’s expense. Chris Sutton used to tear his hair out on commentary at the lad.
  3. Mark, for 25/30 minutes second half Aberdeen were absolutely pegged back in their defensive third and blowing out of their arses. On another day that would have been a routine 3-0 or 4-0 win. Forrest’s introduction made such a difference. Then Celtic’s centre half Scales had a nightmare spell where he missed an absolute sitter of a header and then lost his man twice to allow goals from similar positions to the one he missed. Great game though!
  4. Not really. Hendry, Mulgrew, Gallacher, etc etc more than make up for those duds.
  5. Aberdeen did very well to take it to pens in all fairness. Hoilett made a big difference when he came on. As did Forrest for Celtic. All 3 Aberdeen goals set up by ex Rovers players with Clarkson playing a slide rule pass for the first one.
  6. Imagine scoring two goals as good as Carbone did in that game and still getting a paggering! Le Tissier did something similar a few seasons earlier if I remember correctly.
  7. I heard that Rick Parry and another EFL bigwig signed it off? The Rovers Trust will be approaching the club to try and elicit a joint statement and we have also asked for this to be raised in Parliament by a couple of MPs.
  8. Throw in the 5-0 at their place a couple of years back for good measure Gav
  9. The Style Council - Wanted (Or Waiter There's Some Soup In My Flies)
  10. Roberta Flack - Killing Me Softly With His Song
  11. Oh I don't know. They brought some pretty big followings in the 80s (which bucked the trend back then). I distinctly remember their fans being on all 4 sides of the ground one night (a la Man City and Bolton) when they were possibly going for promotion? I think that might have been from the third division as well?
  12. The most recent ones in the league that spring to mind are wins at Swansea (3-0), QPR (4-1) and of course the 5-0 at Hillsborough against this lot but that was a while ago now.
  13. It was the same style top that John Lennon wore in the ‘Help’ video. I had my trusty Adidas Japan trainers on mate, Bruno Maglis too good for gigs 😉
  14. The one he wrote with Noel Gallagher (called Jumble Queen) is an absolute banger! Not sure about Soul Wanderings but the other slow new one, Nothing, sounds lovely. I have also heard three others from ‘66’ played acoustically at a charity show in December. There’s one called Ship of Fools, a co-write with Suggs, that sounds amazing. Im glad he dropped Town Called Malice from the set last night. Highlight for me was a song called Rockets from the On Sunset album. Nailed it! Also, as a mod I was delighted when his bass player came up to me before the gig in the Drummers Arms and asked me about the top I was wearing 😎😉✊🏻🍻
