Pretty much sums up my thoughts - and you can add in the promotions (particularly the glorious nights at Gigg Lane and Deepdale) to those as well. My big regret was not being able to make the celebration evening at Ewood after we won the premier league. As I was at Anfield it was only fair to let the wife and older son go to that (we had a new baby at the time so one of us had to stay home).

Derbyshire basically gave the ball away to a City player when he could and should have either put it in Row Z or at the very least knocked it into the City defensive corner. I should add that Travis committed a monumental blunder on Sunday that he got away with - quite what he was thinking of with that back pass God only knows?!

I watched it on telly Tony and my immediate instinct was 'onside'. But the point about VAR is still valid because I didn't start celebrating fully until they kicked off again lol.

What he means is we scored what should have been a last minute winner then lost. Leeds somehow managed to reply with two further goals in injury time. Speaking of which the 2-2 draw v City when we were 2-0 up in the 90th minute in one of Sam’s early games in charge was a sickener but I agree that nothing comes close to Palace, not even Bristol Rovers.

I thought we were terrific today and if we continue to play like that - particularly against our neighbours - I won’t have any complaints, and we will finish top six. We just didn’t get the rub of the green. On another day we would have won that game comfortably. And for those criticising Morton I’ll say this. If he genuinely did get a finger in the eye it is pretty difficult to carry on playing for a minute or so under those circs. And Travis made a far worse mistake early in the second half which would have cost us a goal but for a poor finish and a smart save from Pears. For a neutral it must have been a brilliant game to watch, and a credit to the championship.
