  1. I think it will prove to be a good thing. From a supporter point of view I would like to have seen a couple of things in the White Paper strengthened a bit (e.g. the 'shadow board' is an expectation as opposed to a requirement and the 'golden share' likewise). The Rovers Trust is well on top of this, as mentioned in the Trust thread. We have had a lot of dialogue with the major players behind the scenes and many of the Trust's proposals have actually ended up in the White Paper. We will continue to lobby for improvements, as there is still time to influence the White Paper contents as it moves through the Parliamentary process. So if you aren't already a Rovers Trust member, please join us. It only costs a tenner a year and the Trust will be the major strategic fan organisation in any Blackburn Rovers shadow board, that much is already clear. Details can be found here https://www.roverstrust.com/
  2. I went to bed at 21 for 3 and even given our current excellent form was very surprised to see the close of play score. Nobody has ever scored as many runs as Harry Brook in their first 9 innings in test cricket (and he hasn't even finished his ninth yet!). In the history of the game!! That is incredible. No way on God's earth does Bairstow get back in for me.

  7. Years ago, I was listening to a radio phone-in quiz. The question was: “Name a well known sports commentator?“ (The answer was Murray Walker) The lady contestant hesitated. The DJ offered the clue, “You put one in your mouth and suck!“ The lady excitedly blurted, “DICKIE DAVIES“ RIP The face of Saturday afternoon telly.

  16. We'll just need to agree to disagree on this one matey. Its just etiquette. Its the equivalent of a Mankad in cricket, its piss-poor.
  17. No shit, sherlock. (Nixon, not you blackburnravers)
  18. Yeah I get all those arguments, but none of those things applied in this example. It wasn't particularly in Rangers' interests to waste time and Partick were simply giving possession back to them.
  19. No, it was really obvious that the Jags left back was giving the ball back to Rangers. They did the right thing. Had they not, it opens the door for all sorts of shithousery in the future. Including not kicking the ball out for injured players.
  20. He was a sly old fox Arsene

  23. I had a few friends at the game yesterday (on both sides) and they said it was obvious what had happened and also what was going to happen, with the way the teams lined up at the kick off. The two managers apparently actually shook hands before Rangers allowed The Jags to score the equaliser, so Beale had told Iain McCall the plan. Common sense really but yeah, its an easy thing to do in a situation like that where Rangers were odds-on to go on and win the game anyway. Allan McGregor wasn't too keen to allow the Partick lad to score though lol
