  8. How odd that we are relying on Preston and Swansea. Maybe the 1981 song will get new lyrics…

  10. Surely if this scoreline stays the same it is good news for us as Luton will definitely finish in 3rd place and should therefore rest their better players for the play offs?

  13. I always enjoy discussions with Longers and SC. They are of a similar age to me I think and let's be honest the rivalry is no more than a bit of pantomime for us at this stage in life ("oh no it isn't", I hear you cry!). It probably doesn't get much worse as a football fan than your local rivals lording it over you by clinching a league title on your ground. Apart maybe from being in the fourth division when your local rivals win the 'actual' title.
  14. When you think of some of the famous photos of bloodied players, Terry Butcher, John Wylie, Kevin Moran, Colin Hendry etc who just got back up and carried on. Proper hard men.

  18. Superb summary and I can't add anything to that at all in respect of the game last night or the wider issues at the club. One thing that really pissed me off last night though - and apologies if its already been discussed on here I can't stomach trawling through the last few pages of the thread - but who's fucking crackpot idea was it to trot out four of our LEAGUE ONE/THIRD DIVISION promotion side just before kick off to take the applause of the crowd? Surely in front of the Dingles who were about to celebrate being CHAMPIONS of the league higher than that we should either have left it alone or - preferably - got a few of the 1994/95 squad out there to show those inbreds what proper champions look like. If ever anything summed up our current 'tin pot' status it was this embarrassing incident.
