Playing for a glamour club like Liverpool, he has managed 3(?) under-age England appearances, Adam Wharton has 6, Harvey Elliot had 21 by the age of 19 (a year younger than Morton) The kid appears to be a busted flush. I suggest he will never make a senior appearance for Liverpool. Will go out on loan to a league one team next year and that will be his level.

Yeah disappointing way to end if that;s what happens this summer. Very likable player and always looks like he is working hard on the pitch. Honestly is that what all the hate is about? A handball and cocaine habit 36 years ago? Ireland were denied qualification to the 2010 World cup by Thierry handball, I was pissed about it for a week at the time and I thought about it a few times when the WC was on. I don't hate Henry now, I can still appreciate he was an outstanding footballer (though not in the same league as Messi, Maradona, Pele or even Zidane) Jesus I probably even cheered on France when they played England in that WC (I joke) I honestly cannot believe the vitriol reserved for Diego Maradona, in comparison to George Best (raging alchoholic) who is regularly put on a pedistal on this site. I loved Maradona (probably because he was such damaged goods) he was a special player, he was incredible in Mexico in 86, but I was more impressed by the way he single handidly dragged a very ordinary Argentina team to a WC final against W. Germany in 1990. Now that Messi has pretty much done the same here I think my mind is made up that he is the Greatest of All Time. Everyone's milage varies as they say.
