  1. As I said, that signing looks odder by the day... 7m on Reed and I don’t see many people complaining. Ah well.
  2. Extremely poor set up and tactics today from Mowbray - got this badly wrong. Zero outlet and Dack totally ineffective in that role. Palmer and reed our best players yet he takes Palmer off.... The Brereton signing looking odder by the day.
  3. Unfortunately that cameo did very very little to change my views on him so far - it’s the lack of football intelligence, that is innate in players, that is most worrying. If we really have signed him ‘for the future’, the merits of which is up for doscussion, take him out of the firing line totally now.
  4. Taking Graham off has won Swansea the game - lost shape and our game plan with it. Bererton concerns grow. Hope he proves me wrong but dear oh dear.
  5. Martin Olson is still a quality player - their main threat up to now. Solid half from Rovers - let's concentrate and finish the job.
  6. Many valid points on both sides of this 'debate'. As far as I was aware this is a fans forum, a place where fans can voice opinions, both negative and positive on aspects of the club they support. This is the Ben Brereton thread. The reaction from some is frankly bizarre. To be labelled 'ultra negative' and to suggest anyone with an opinion is following a 'narrative' and 'will never be satisfied' is wide of the mark. A subjective opinion having watched a player, who I believe hasn't made a significant contribution thus far, is exactly that - it isn't a character assassination or attack on Tony Mowbray/Blackburn rovers/Venkys/Fans in the ground/the recruitment policy. Anyway - I would love to eat some humble pie and hope Ben can improve and become the player TM believes he can be. Until then I maintain he isn't delivering or looking like a 7m GBP player.
  7. No, it isn’t. It’s an opinion on a player in his thread. Fantastic result today - absolutely.
  8. Fantastic result! I thought Evans and Mulgrew were excellent. Bennett all had a very good game at RB. Despite his faults Raya is a hell of a keeper at this level and at his age. That said.....Armstrong needs to learn how to finish and Brereton was very poor when he came on.
  9. Quality again today - composure and passing fantastic. He is a class above and it shows. I think he has to start now.
  10. Big concerns with Brereton and the signing baffles me. His touch today was very poor and game management/intelligence worse. Mowbray had to switch him to the left to tell him what to do and to close down. 19 or not that’s basic.... Needs to improve quickly.
  11. where is El Hadi Diouf when you need him? He used to do well for us against Notlob.
  12. Sounds like Rodwell is having a decent game - I think he could turn out to be a very shrewd signing.
  13. Excellent team goal - pass, move, pass move. Bell excellent so far.
  14. Solid but very defensive team. rothwell must be getting frustrated - arguably one of our best players thus far and can’t get a game
  15. Extremely fortunate to come away from that with a point. We were crap. Evans was MoM for me. For the money Derby have spent and the furor at Lampard's appointment....they were not much better.
  16. Southgate in the stands - assume he’s watching Mount. Step up Bradley!
  17. Surely Rothwell should have played instead. Odd call going with Conway
  18. We are very exposed at the back. Conway also looks miles off the pace.
  19. This is part of the problem, not just in this case but for footballers more generally. It shouldn’t be the club’s responsibility - the players should take some accountability. In the modern game it seems players don’t have any, always someone else’s fault. Dack needs to stop and think very seriously about where he goes from here - does he have the self awareness, intelligence or people around him to do that? He is a very very lucky boy to have the club and Tony supporting him. Let’s hope he realizes that and strives to repay some of that loyalty.
  20. Yesterday was a wake up call following the good start to the season. The international break should give players time to 'bed in' and therefore I expect a some changes: Raya Nyambe Mulgrew Lenihan Williams Reed Evans Armstrong Dack Rothwell Graham Smallwood: days must be numbered now. Good option to have on the bench to defend a lead Palmer: I don't think Tony is going to play two 'creative' players so Palmer will drop out. Another good bench option Bell: he has been solid but struggled defensively against Bristol. Williams offers a bit more in that respect and I think having just been pumped 4-1 he will come back in Rodwell: Still believe long term he will become a mainstay in the team
  21. In my only home game last season against Plymouth, watched him cost us two points missing an open net. He will not make it at this level.
