  1. I predict this line up and formation: Gallagher Downing Dack Rothwell Johnson Travis Bell Lenihan New Bennett New - Graham and Gallagher will alternate a lot. - Brereton will continue his inside forward/wing 20 minute cameos, continuing to frustrate everyone and contribute nothing - Chapman and Armstrong on for similar cameos replacing Rothwell and Downing.
  2. As everyone panics and decides we are doomed...….perhaps Downing has left on his own volition in order to guarantee himself first team football somewhere else? Something he has been told he wouldn't get here. I doubt he has been 'shown the door' in order for us to keep Gladwin....
  3. The 1960 FA Cup final shirt is a belter (you can also buy replicas in the Roverstore). It would be good to see something like that:
  4. Back from Trinidad for this one - first game for a while and I’ve brought the weather with me. Only thing that can spoil my day is R. Smallwood in the starting XI. Hoping to see some of the u23 lads get a game, Buckley in particular
  5. good bright start from Rovers. Travis and Rothwell linking up nicely
  6. Heady days for a Trinidadian based Rover! I chat to Dwight sometimes and he said Souness was an absolute lunatic on the training field. We had some team in those days.
  7. well, in the end business as usual and nothing happening. That said, this has been the most entertaining window since the Luca Toni days. Nice one Madon! We can take some comfort from the fact Rovers are now linked to some decent players, rather than the Luke Vardy's of this world. Glass half full - we've come a long way.
  8. would be a hell of a signing. For that reason unlikely to happen......
  9. At least Grabbi looked like he had something and got a goal or two. Compared technically to Brereton so far Grabbi looks like Messi. Brereton needs to go out on loan ASAP but I can't see him becoming a championship level forward. At 19 he may be 'raw' and have potential but as other posters have seen, there haven't been any flashes/moments of ability.
  10. Meanwhile Palmer, who we couldn’t get a tune out of, scores the winner for Bristol.
  11. Price tag, age, potential......put all of that aside - Brereton is a woeful footballer.
  12. 1-1 is a decent result. We lack quality and that is why we are mid table. This is a work in progress. Mulgrew was immense today and I thought Downing looked like a proper defender. Armstrong was shocking. Rothwell is technically superb, hopefully he can learn the other side of the game and develop his awareness. Middlesborugh are absolutely dreadful to watch, lucky we don’t sit through that every week. Onwards and upwards.
  13. Great draw - nothing to lose so go up there and in the words of G. Bowyer, ‘give it a right good go’ Play 4 up front. Then put Brereton on at left back for the last 10 minutes.
  14. The 7m man will be lethal in league 1! If he is allowed to start.
  15. This is absolutely staggering - to go 3 at the back when we are already defensively all over the place. Work to do Mr Mowbray.
  16. Bell needs to come off - liability. Evans - off for Rothwell. Reed into the middle
  17. same issue with me - been locked out and cant sign back in! Any joy fixing the issue?
  18. Have to play it safe and go back to the formula that has delivered success so far: Raya Nyambe Lenihan Mulgrew William Smallwood Evans Reed Dack Armstrong Graham Like it or not the defense looks far more vulnerable without Evans/Smallwood in front of them. Reed has to play instead of Bennett and Graham up top. Back to what we know and not 'a new style of football'.
  19. The Lithuanian youngster we got in the Summer, Vilius Piliukatis, is making waves for the under 18s and getting rave reviews. Scored two and got an assist against West Brom in a 4-1 win. Reports suggested we beat some 'big' clubs to his signature so excited to see how he progresses.
  20. Good win - eating some humble pie, thought we were crap for much of the game. Palmer and Brereton provided some creativity. Nice one.
  21. Dack up front again.....stubborn fella Tony Mowbray. Tactics wrong again today sadly. Brereton must not have scored in training this week......
  22. This is a tough watch - lack of quality from Rovers so far, pumping long balls to DG. i would put Palmer on for Smallwood, reed to the centre
