  1. Happy to see Moran dropped. Long time coming.
  2. Surely its Pears brittian. Hyam. McFadden ChrisenE Jrc. Trondstad hedges. Sammy. Dolan SG
  3. What we need is a fast center back, a goal scoring forward, a few tricky wingers and a left back. What we got is a new coach.
  4. Not to get political but, after hearing Joe Biden talk about the Mexican-Hamas border I think rovers under Venkys might be the only thing in a steeper cognitive decline than him.
  5. McGuire must be praying the appeal is denied. No way he has any interest in joining this sinking ship.
  6. Elliot says he’s not left or been sacked. If I were him I’d walk. He’s not been great but he’s been lied to and is working for Kuntz who can’t tell the difference between a save and send button.
  7. No one. Job well done. Raises for all
  8. You can’t make this shite up: “More has now come out on the most recent mess up by the club. #Rovers thought they clicked “submit paperwork” before the deadline, but they only clicked “save”. When they realized it wasn’t submitted, the window had already shut. - Tom Bogert”
  9. Most likely saving on the wage bill like every other move we’ve made
  10. I’m sure the recruitment department, coach and players feel the same way.
  11. From top to bottom. It starts with the owners telling staff one thing, “funds are only available through sales, create your own budget”. Then after funds come in and targets identified, deals agreed pull the rug. But it doesn’t stop there. As there still no excuse once a different deal is agreed and signed the club can’t send in the paperwork in time. The end result is there’s no accountability from top to bottom and it shows in everything from recruitment to play in the field.
  12. Story in the Atlantic really highlights what shambles were in. Owners who communicate one thing then pull the rug and staff unfit to run a lemonade stand. https://theathletic.com/5252239/2024/02/06/blackburn-rovers-duncan-mcguire-transfer/
  13. I’m convinced that there’s a percentage of accounts on all social that are run by paid actors. You see it on political posts, sports team. Likely hired by pr firms to help balance the conversation.
  14. It goes all the way up the ladder. Any other organization outside football would have sacked people last year and this year the board would be asking for the resignation of the ceo and the director
  15. Yeah no time to put sticker notes on pages while waiting for the Wharton deal to go through. Not to mention none of the Wharton money was used.
  16. It’s not lost on me that McGuire is our one and only potential long term signing of the widow. What’s also not lost is the lad has not more professional experience than Harry Leonard. Mcguire is all likelihood isn’t the difference in staying up.
  17. Orlando tweeted in response. https://x.com/OCFanTV22/status/1754604246366847159?s=20
  18. It also seemed to drag out months and by the time us was settled there’s only be a handful of games left
  19. Hard to believe there are still Venkys sympathizers out there. Read one on FB saying no one was saying “Venkys Out” when the club was paying million for Szmodics and Hyam. Went on to ask what position the club would be in if Venkys sold and then called the debt due. Bottom line is Venkys can’t sell the call the debt as no one would acquire with the current debt outstanding. Venkys would have to write off the debt or a portion of it as uncollected in order for a buyer to step up.
  20. I think that’s the biggest change he can make. We don’t have the players for that currently. Maybe when our first choice backs were fit, and Wharton was here. Also when Carter is a CB there’s more pace. We concede possession too easily and in the wrong moments which leaves us exposed. Unfortunately our backs in the attack are how we create most of our chances so it’ll probably come at a cost.
  21. I’ve just about had it with the “where would you be without the owners putting £20,000,000 pounds in a year” group. I don’t think they should get credit for doing the minimally required responsibility of ownership, paying the bills. Any owner would have to do that. Good owners pay the bills and run the organization in a way to drive value and achieve the companies mission.
  22. I don’t think it’s a problem with formation but philosophy. Our wing backs seem to be instructed to get into the attacks, without the center miss sliding into cover. The result is we’re often 2 v 2 at the back on the counter. Additionally we are poor at closing down dangerous opportunities at or near the top of our box. The attitude of the side seems very attacking but it leaves us exposed on the counter.
