As I said, losing the header for the second isn’t luck. Not closing the man for the original shot on the first goal isn’t luck. If either of those instances don’t happen, they don’t score. There is no divine intervention for goals -

What if the medical team said Carter only had 60 mins in him, any further would risk injury? -

Problem is, there are so too many players who can only play if they have a safety net of a defensive spoiler next to them. It’s the reason we don’t score goals, we’re so unbalanced all over the pitch. All boils down to appalling recruitment during the summer -

I bet if you dissect every goal we’ve conceded (and scored) there is an error somewhere that is the major contributing factor. Be it a pass, positioning, decision, etc. I just don’t buy we’re unlucky. We’re badly organised, weak and make poor decisions (on and off the pitch). That’s why we’ve lost so many games not luck -

I struggle with all this talk of luck. Take the Alebiousu slip; O’Riordan wins the header and there is no goal. But what happens is O’Riordan loses loses out, Alebiousu is wrong footed and therefore slips due to pushing off against the turf. Their player making the run to tap it in, that’s not luck. Luck is a cop out. Reality is we are the main contributing factor to the goals we concede -

McLoughlin tearing a strip off Cantwell after the goal -

Cantwell gets in so many good positions to either slow it down to the point of them recovering, run into traffic or kick it in to their player. Probably the most frustrating player I’ve seen in a rovers shirt -
I think Leicester will want someone more expansive and with a ‘name’ over a solid if unspectacular manager like Rowatt
-
Given Rowett walked out of a comfortable and relatively successful job at Millwall due to their board messing him about I just can’t see him coming here. Feels to me a name being thrown about to cause disquiet, well then get an ‘exciting’ manager hand picked by Rudy
-
The betting market will be relatively small so a smallish number of bets/patterns will shorten the odds as bookies cover themselves.

Let me be clear first, I don't think we should bring Hughes back, that ship sailed long, long ago. But to be fair to him on Savage comparisons, Carlise took him on after letting Simpson bring in about 15 players in the transfer window then bombed him off a couple of days after it shut! Carlisle were adrift at that point and he nearly got them out of it. Not to say that's acceptable but there is some context to the situation. I think the damage had been done already at Carlisle, consecutive relegations and a pretty poor culture all told. This year Carlisle must be very disappointed, they've got a massive wage budget and if Rochdale win their games in hand should realistically run away with it. Given the investment at Carlisle along with their crowds I would think Hughes would be off at end of the season if they're not promoted.
-
To be fair he absolutely stank the place out whilst here
-
Ferguson, like Gestede was also badly behaved on wanting to leave Rovers if I remember correctly.
-
The rumours have been started by his agent, 100%
-
Not to be like a dog with a bone, but he had a full time team playing against lads who train once a week. Christ the Lancaster manager is a train driver monday to Friday and they train once a week, that's who he was up against and doing it with players who who were by and large at higher level clubs but dropped down for better wages a la Wrexham.
-
If we're hell bent on using Adam Owens' Ex Player/Welsh networks then we'd be better off waiting until after the upcoming WC qualifiers or WC and going after Craig Bellamy.
-
I honestly have no idea how people would be fine with Savage. He's managed a team in step 3 (who he was joint owner of and had a wage bill circa 4 times the 2nd highest teams wage bill) and he's now 4th in the National League with a team who were recently in league 2 and given their owners investment you'd expect them to be up there amongst the top spend. If the teams around him win their respective games in hand they'll drop to 6th. I mean come on, that's not exactly a CV to get excited about.

Valérien Ismaël: Former Head Coach

He won the northern premier league with a tesm whose wage bill would make the top 5 national league teams wince -
Savage isnt doing s brilliant job at FGR, Jimmy McNulty and Luke Garrard are all comfortably outperforming him
-
Will Still has done brilliantly considering it all started with a course at Myerscough College. Pushed himself way outside of his comfort zone and chased a career. His record in France and Belgium is excellent, Southampton was a bad choice of club given where they were at on the back of a year of getting whalloped
-
Good point, that said I'm not sure anyone but Gestede signs off anything these days
-
To be fair to Adam Owen, his football CV is incredible spanning both the professional game and education side of things
-
He's at a club bankrolled by Tony Bloom, them or this clown show, tough choice!

"you've got a wee gem there" is a quote that should never be forgotten when assessing Nixons' opinions on football. -
Ange would be a total disaster here, his whole philosophy is built on a combination of high intensity running, rotations and speed. Our current squad is brainless and slow. A match made in hell
