  1. I’m not talking about posession based, I’m meaning more that we are unable to keep it for more than 3 passes. We’re literally giving them the ball back rather than playing balls into channels. We’re playing like the ball is on fire
  2. The overriding issue we have is how uncomfortable we’re looking with the ball. Great example there where we win it, ohashi sets it back for Henrikson or TGH (not sure which) and we twat it over the top rather than trying to build it
  3. I like De Neve, quite an old fashioned full back. Not technically the best but a strong runner, looks to get to the byline and out the ball in. Similar to Owen Beck in a lot of ways
  4. We simply can’t keep giving the ball away so cheaply, we will get caught at some point
  5. Reckon there is any chance we can keep the ball a bit?
  6. Totally agree. The whole FM stuff is lazy and disingenuous. The lad moved from Belgium to bloody Myerscough at 17, had his B license by 20 and was an analyst in pro football (Belgium 2nd Divisionn) by 21. People talk about him like he was playing FM and got plucked from obscurity and parachuted into the Reims job
  7. Dermot Desmond doing his best to torpedo any chances of Rodgers getting another job anytime soon
  8. My issue is he’s only ‘honest’ when it suits Gestede’s narrative. Re the Travis thing, he may have been ‘honest’ about his desire to leave/push a move but without the context and ‘honesty’ about why he wanted to leave its a half truth
  9. I’m also an analyst at heart, one of the major flaws I see in xG is that it doesn’t take in to account situational context of the shooting opportunity i.e. who is the forward, who is the keeper, etc
  10. I thought TGH was excellent and probably the only player to come off at half time who played to par or above
  11. I think if we’re playing 3 at the back you can’t have TGH and Tronstad together otherwise we end up too deep. Tronstad going off changed the dynamic in the middle of the park where you had Montgomery and TGH on different lines for the first time which I felt gave us more balance and allowed us to use the space created much better
  12. Shortly after the subs. Right on the aisle between 04 and 05. Around row 23 ish. Not good to see to be honest, when you’ve got rovers fans clouting each other shows the split in the fanbase
  13. Appalling first half and started the second with a whimper. Started to pick up after 10 mins or so in the second half but when Moroshita missed that chance I thought we were done for. Lot of credit has to got to a few of the players individually grabbing the game by the neck and making something happen. Most notably McLoughlin, TGH, De Neve and Montgomery. Great to see the BBE turn on Ismael and ramp up pressure on the Venky’s/Pasha. The win after subs does more harm than good though in removing the dud, Ismael
  14. There was a full scrap in N04, seemed to be a Venky’s out/get behind the lads based disagreement . Fella who came of worse will have a banging head tomorrow
  15. southampton are have surpassed us in underperforming their xG, can’t wait for them to catch it up today!
  16. He’s always been a regular going back pre Venky’s.
  17. One is Gordon Taylor formerly of this parish and more widely known as longstanding CEO of the PFA
  18. This is my biggest problem with them, he's managed roughly 30 games and I couldn't tell you what sort of team we are? What's the identity, what are we known for, how would you describe our style of play. It's not like we're tactically flexible or fluid, we have a plan of sorts to start off with (albeit a not very dynamic one) but as soon as the opposition change shape or we lose momentum we fold like a deck chair. As mentioned above, last night we're pinging crosses and direct passes on to Morishita and Kargbo rather than playing over them and trying to turn their back line, which would suit the personnel.
  19. I'd personally prefer fan action in the form of protest in our around the ground. Sadly we are at the point crowd wise where people staying away wouldn't make that much of a dent
  20. Hopefully the majority of members push for protest and fan action
  21. At least baradji had another good game, signing of the season
  22. The random signings all stink of Kean era agent buys
  23. Woeful defending again. Miller watching the ball as his man runs off him and their striker easily gets between two of ours
