  1. I feel it's not insignificant that the safe standing section was announced just before ST's went on sale, I think Waggot believes that the attraction of standing for some will outweigh the price increase and they are a section of the fan base to be milked alongside those who will get renew regardless of price/conditions.
  2. Morecambe did something very similar in their first season in League 1, there were 3 prices based on meeting season ticket sale numbers. Regardless to say they smashed all 3 targets and had their record ever ST sales with an average attendance over 4500, 2k more than their previous highest average!
  3. The kids price is a con, you can't have a junior ticket without an adult so in essence the child's price matters very little. It's the adult price and junior ticket combined that give you the true cost.
  4. The discounted U18's are being subsidised by the inflated Adult prices, where you can't get a child's ticket without an adult. So they're massively playing on that. A child was 40 quid or something last year with an adult £340 - so overall an increase of £60 across an adult and junior ST in BBE. Criminal if you ask me.
  5. As early bird prices at a club where fan engagement is probably at one of its lowest ebbs go they really are the pits. £400 to sit in the BBE, have a day off.
  6. Absolutely bizarre that they’ve not announced pricing

  8. I’d wager that very few of the first team supporters would give the women’s or youth teams a glance nor call themselves supports. Excluding 21’s/18’s in this statement
  9. I see he's given Cantwell a very public rocket up the arse via the LET this morning, I'd be interested to see which has the longer Rovers career at this stage.
  10. Done, can’t see me giving up my time to go on Ewood again this season. Persevered time and time again but this takes the pisss
  11. I think it’s ok to be both upset with Ismail and the team as well as Venky’s. All this blame Venky’s/buck stops with them gives a bit of a free pass when they’re undeserving of one. They may have been over performing at Play off spots but that doesn’t excuse this shower

  13. Glad I didn’t bother carting down the m6, joke of a manager and team
  14. Travis interview reads like a hostage statement.
  15. Why are we continually trying to score from headers when they have 7 men back at all times. Utter stupidity
  16. Cantwell is utter shit, stat pads a load of passes in midfield then when it matters clips one straight to their left back. Useless
  17. We’re fucking terrible, absolutely woeful. If I was Ribeiro I’d have pears up against the wall at halftime for the number of hand grenades he clips in to him
  18. The idiots who organise fixtures/Sky will contrive to have us play Burnley on the 5th should neither be promoted.
  19. There are a lot of similar teams in the champ this year, all fur coat and no knickers would be how I'd describe it. Leeds, Burnleh all have lots of the ball without looking particularly dangerous if a team can remain compact and well organised. This is why I think Sheff Utd are the best bet to win it as they at least have a couple of ways of playing, they can maintain possession but if needed can be much more direct, something Leeds, Burnleh and others struggle with. We've seen on 3 occasions now if you limit Leeds to having to play around a compact defensive unit they're not particularly threatening, I'd argue the same could be said about the Dingles too
  20. We've been going backwards since Christmas, the two positive results under Lowe were blip rather than the norm over the last couple of months
  21. Yeah to be fair, I'd not noticed they were at the start of the school holidays, I had it in my head the old fashioned dates of the Champ final being on Bank holiday monday
  22. Well, I reckon I'll know by 5.15 on Saturday whether I can book a holiday for May half term or need to be looking at London hotels!
  23. This just has a Derby 1-0 win written all over it, it would be peak Rovers. It's what we do, year on year even pre-dating Venky's. Whenever a team is in dire form and desperate for a win we roll over and get our tummy tickled.
  24. Absolutely, it’s certainly the way we’ve played the last 12 months. Brittain and Beck almost always orient their body to show the player down the line rather than back inside. I think this is in part because JE was confident in our ability to win aerial duels. It’s definitely a modern coaching nuance where keeping players out of the central zone around the D is the main objective when defending
