  1. So with De Neve, Tavares and Gueye we’re effectively playing with 8 men
  2. He’s really developing that poachers instinct
  3. Tavares is as bad a player as any I’ve seen play for Rovers
  4. If we end up losing tonight and go down by 3 points it won’t be anything to do with the cancellation. It will be to do with not gaining enough points in the other 45 games. The fact remains we didn’t beat Ipswich, we were beating them, the 3 points weren’t secured and the abandonment was in large part due to inadequacies of the drainage systems at Ewood. whilst the club will dine out for months if we lose, the fact is losing at home to Birmingham, Norwich, Swansea and Sheff Utd will be the reason we’re relegated, not the debacle against Ipswich.
  5. It's not really saving if you can get to all 4 games, if like most you'd struggle to make all of them over the festive period it's a terrible deal!
  6. Horrendous game management from Ismael. Yes the decision was stinking but it’s our own doing in sitting back in 5-4-1 for 30 mins. Appalling
  7. The biggest issue with Gueye is that he doesn't press with any intensity, so centre halves can step in at any point giving them an overload through the middle of the pitch. I could forgive his profligacy in front of goal if he was a monster out of possession but he's woeful, I'd argue his tactical awareness out of possession is his biggest weakness.
  8. This one has all the hallmarks of an 'after the Lord Mayors show' type game. Good performance and better result on Friday with the effort expended there coming back to haunt us to a sluggish and leggy defeat at Ewood
  9. Great evening, hedges as good as when he played wing back under mowbray. Ohashi looking very sharp and an outstanding debut for Pratt. how whiteman stayed on the pitch I’ll never know
  10. Whilst Cantwell has performed better as an individual, I still maintain we have been a more cohesive unit with him not in the team. With him dropping so deep we can look unbalanced with he, TGH and Tronstad all wanting to occupy the same spaces. Add in we don't have any natural pace or width high up the pitch we often end up having a lot of the ball in areas that don't hurt the opposition. Cantwell is IMO so much better when higher up the pitch, the further forward we can get him the better IMO. I hate seeing him dropping in and receiving it from the CB's or where the full backs are.
  11. Assuming he had a hamstring graft for his ACL reconstruction this would set off air siren style alarm bells for any medical team.
  12. with half the team regularly appearing on BBC Lancs it's unlikely they'd be caning the owners/regime and risk their employer being LET'd
  13. If Cantwell plays it has to be further forward IMO, he likes to drop in to very deep positions. Whilst he has played much better this season I do think him in midfield unbalances the team as we end up Cantrell, tronstad and TGH playing on top of each other. Chuck in no natural width outside of full backs and it makes us a bit turgid. I'd play him as high as possible as a 10 (off Gudjohnsen) or false 9.
  14. sunshine foreacast for saturday, will Antalya Pears be wearing a cap?
  15. the one thing that is synonomous with Blackburn Rovers is halved (we know it's quartered) shirts, across the globe that would be the defining feature that your average fan would know about Rovers. To celebrate our rich history we've decided to ignore that which makes us almost unique
  16. I showed it someone at work and they said it looks very Klu Klux Klan
  17. Tuesday night away game in November, we all know how this one goes.........
  18. It's so unbelievably shit, bad enough we might be playing in it, even worse they're selling it!
  19. I’m not talking about posession based, I’m meaning more that we are unable to keep it for more than 3 passes. We’re literally giving them the ball back rather than playing balls into channels. We’re playing like the ball is on fire
  20. The overriding issue we have is how uncomfortable we’re looking with the ball. Great example there where we win it, ohashi sets it back for Henrikson or TGH (not sure which) and we twat it over the top rather than trying to build it
  21. I like De Neve, quite an old fashioned full back. Not technically the best but a strong runner, looks to get to the byline and out the ball in. Similar to Owen Beck in a lot of ways
  22. We simply can’t keep giving the ball away so cheaply, we will get caught at some point
  23. Reckon there is any chance we can keep the ball a bit?
