Be better spent expanding the Gene pool down the unfriendly end of the Motorway I beg to differvinjay same old rhetoric an dwhile RTM's points may not be thought out and he lied about attending the game he does vary his theme some, and I think he actually means well. I found everthing vinjay said to be criticism levelled at the Family that rescued this club without any constructive substance whatsoever. In short I found his rantings to be quite offensive in nature, at least to a fan who was there during some of the clubs darker days. It's actually not, a medium that requires registration and membership is not exactly public is it? You just want him back so you can pick on him with you intellectual superiority don't you jim. Fair do's. Then if he is re-instated someone please educate me on the ignore function or I will banish myself to the official board

So you are saying that us not finding a Billionare is down to JW and his Job preservation, nonsense. My take, if I was a Billionare buying Rovers I would likely think the man has something to offer. I think the fella has done an excellent job really. I do beleive that the fact we had Jack has made the appreciation for JW's efforts somewhat tempered.

Local hero stuff has nowt to do with it as far as I'm concerned. I simply wanted to know when he's not being used more, sub specifically. I'm as real as it gets mate.

Another worry for Spurs, R Keane hit a hat trick, surely he will be brimming with confidence. That's one player I wish we had gone for when he was on the fringe at Spurs. BTW on another Spurs note, how is the mighty Mido doing this season, for those who thought we should break the bank to get him at all costs, it's looking to me like it's money well saved -
Why do you always feel the need to demean people because the have differing opinions to yours. Hey, did anyone notice any Prem clubs sniffing around Tugay or Friedal or Bentley. It is usually a good sign of ablilities, right? Dreamers and comic strip readers, really. Little sidebar here, the other day I was watching the video highlights on RW, saw Gally's goal, extremely well taken, well this comic strip reader thought so. What I found interesting though was the fact that MH looked totally ###### off after Gally scored, no smile no nothing just arms folded and a grim look on his face. What is that about?

An interesting flash back if nothing else. De Pedro?? Shows just how far this manager of ours has brought us. Let's not forget that after our 5th defeat on the bounce Sunday. -
I said it when McClaren was appointed and I'll repeat myself. Forget the Euro's we are not going to qualify. In football terms I am ashamed to be English. The FA have always been plonkers when it comes to the England manager. Do a Charlton and get rid now.

To be fair, those of you who have suggested the service to him was poor, you are right. -
Elaborate why he's not good enough to come on as sub please. The evidence I've seen when he does is that Rovers start to look more threatening.
-
Good answer
-
Exactly the sort of answer I asked not to get. How can one just say he is not good enough when the evidence is there for all to see. He has clearly made impacts when he has come on, not perhaps in scoring but the whole team seems to buck up, we become more lively and start to show a little imagination. So good enough or not if he does that then why not more of him and sooner. He has, in the Souness era, started and been ineffective but he always seems to do well as a sub. I also think Sparky is man enough not to show preferencial treatment to HIS signings, if that was the case how the hell do you explain MGP playing all the time whenhe has been crap.

Dependant on the time of Month I'm sure.

Mine too, well I was split between him and Nigel Worthington. Bloody good job I'm not running things down at Ewood. -
Respected me? Why how flattering. Perhaps some of it is I will usually defer to the people that actually attend the games, somefolks however prefer to get on their soap box arguing their opinions as fact without any thing to really back it up. Bloody hell, Danns and Douglas come of it or is RTM actually Souness? My question was quite simple I don't think I've seen a realistic answer yet.
-
I am becoming a little puzzled at the Gally situation. Okay okay I have not seen him as much as lots of you BUT, when I have seen him he has come on and has made a genuine impact. We have created more, wehave attacked more and created more chances. What's going on, IMHO the lad has earned a shot, or am I missing something Don't just tell me "he's not prem standard" either, I want something of substance, some examples of him not performing when he has come on to justify him not getting a go. Anyone?

On the contrary Rev, I thought there was plenty of movement of the front two, it just was not effective movement. Very unintelligent running. They moved to where the passing lanes were effectively closed off. Also to add did anyone else notice the game seem to turn after Benni got booked. We seemed to adopt the bully boy bit again and I had thought just prior to that we had played some of our better footy, we seemd to switch after that incident. And just a moan, Riley let an awful lot go for United in defence, several obstructions, fouls and holding and pushing. Not using it as an excuse but he seemed bound and determined not to let us have a free kick in any sort of danger area. Just my observation. Not saying Benni did not deserve the booking either BUT how many times do we see encroachment, just how many refs pull up for it let alone book people.

Did not know he was on the pitch yesterday till he was subbed -
Toothless up front. Lacking in ideas, through the middle is not the way to get to the Mancs. As for Benni, some nice skill bit does not chase the ball. Why Oh why he will not move toward the ball is beyond me, it s one of the first tings we are taught is it not. Nonda?? was he playing. There were a few positives yes, I thought at times our defending looked a lot better I'm sure that has to do with Emo. Ooyah IMO is beginning to look a real class act, I can't wait to see him play with Nelsen. Hold on to your hats lads and lassies only one ,more defeat next week and we should start to get some results on the board. Sparky needs to sub sooner when we are chasing the game, I was very dissappointed not to see Gally, something afoot there cos whenever I have seen him come on he's had an impact, Sparky sees different. Why was Bentley subbed was it tactical or injury or just trying not to wear him out.
-
Yep as usual all superlatives about Utd, I thought it was funny when they when through our injury list (completely missed Nelson btw) and then immediately after said we have struggled of late due to Europe. Anyway to the game. The the F in Hell are we doing trying to go through the middle and long ball over the top. We need to go wide and whip the ball in behind them UNited flap when teams do that, they don't like it some nice curling crosses in behind Rio is a Rover and we can have 'em.

You know, I've always thought Sparky to be a sensible man, a staight shooter, he's not going to go on about a player if he thought it was out of our reach. He's not the pie in the sky sort of fella, he a realist and if he thinks there is a possibility then I just have to buy what he's selling. -
Penalty for them then and a couple of shouts for us turned down, Utd also score from a free kick that should never have been. Sounds about right for Riley.

Perhaps I am nuts but the more I think about this the more I can see us pulling this one off, If we have the right spin doctor to sell it to Beckham. Sell it to him in terms of football, good honest footy, no distractions just come and do what you like to do, play the game. Also if Beckham's spin Doctors can put the right slant on it chances are it could be very beneficial to him too. -

I don't think Beckham is quite ready for the MLS yet. He can afford to decline a few more years and still make it here. Besides signing a deal in the MLS would translate to him having given up on career as a top player and would end without doubt any aspirations he may have of playing for England again. Two years here then the MLS and he's done well. I agree perfect stand in for Toogs.
