  1. Mostly because he is never where he should be - if he stayed out wide a bit more he might find more decent passes finding their way to him with him finding himself facing forwards and in space, instead of coming inside all the time and getting in the way of the other midfielders. Alot of the time I think this ithe main problem because the others can't keep up with Emerton and haven't got a clue where he is going with the ball, thus leaving him with nobody to pass to and ultimately facing the wrong way or being tackled and out of position. I have to disagree somewhat Mr Kayos. The passes to him were poor and two or three yards behind him. Surely we pass to players as a physical presence not to a space where a player is supposed to be, for the most part.
  2. I don't beleive Ferguson would have made one bit of difference last night, he needs time on the ball and that is one thing Bolton do not give you. It is the reason he has not lived up to the hype. It is why he looks so good up north of the border, he gets all the time on the ball he needs.
  3. Scrappy crappy game, got a little better late on. A lot has to do with the way Bolton play, better teams than us have struggled to get any sort of rythym going against them. We needed to keep the ball down at the feet, too many poor passes led to balls bouncing at players and against Bolton you just are not allowed time to get the ball under control. Diouf is a disgrace as was the penalty decision. The commentator said it was a penalty at first, I disagreed immediately, I knew it was a dive because he fell too late. The ref could not judge that from where he was, behind the play. Too bad Brads save bounced right back to him. A stinker of a way to lose. We are right back in it now. I think criticism of Neill is unfair. We lack creativity and punch up front, never thought I would say thi but MGP looked our biggest threat but can he actually take on a man. Passes to Emerton were so poor he was always facing the wrong way when he got the ball. Not too downhearted with the loss just the way it hapened. I'd give Johnson and Stead a run against Colchester, young Jemal has some pace.
  4. I was thinking we would edge this one but now, due to al the bottom teams winning this weekend, I think the added pressure, must win type situation we will put in our usual flat performance and come up quite a bit short.
  5. Too bad Uncle Jack is not still around, he would have taken care of this homesick stuff. He could have bought Glasgow and had it moved down here.
  6. We want more than that!!! Yeah, but few clubs are as bad as we have been for overpaying for players. Please think before you type, there have been lot's of white elephants at many clubs, the big clubs too. It's just that the big clubs just get rid, get someone else and keep winning so it all seems to be "glossed over" somewhat.
  7. Well well well. I can only say this, if Ferguson goes back to Scotland he has let himself down. Clearly it is a step backwards I would have thought a top Professional would want to play at the highest level, week in week out. If he stays in the Prem and goes to a bigger club with more opportunity to win things fair enough, but to return to the Mickey Mouse league north of the border shows him perhaps his true light. If he does not have the bottle to battle every game then he is not for us anyway. Now, any suitable replacements?
  8. Just thought I would break my self imposed exile, and use this subject to do it. Ferguson? always thought we paid to much, top top SPL player, came to play at a higher level, but apparently wants to move back for the easy money. What sort of ambition is that? None if you ask me. A handful of truly competitive games a year. McFadden signs for relatively low fee, has to fight to get in Evertons first team, has offers to go back but wants to stay to try to hack it in England, a real pro footballer, wants to be the best he can be. Sorry Bazza if you don't want to better your self, play in one of the best , most competetive leagues in the world then what are you really about as a footballer? Not up to much in my opinion. didn't you just get done saying you were happy in England. TND's conspiracy theory holds some water in my opinion. Now back off to la la land. Oh, and Fergie, don't let the door hit you in the arse you pussy.
  9. Why is no one bashing Saudi Arabia, Kuwait (They got their help when they needed it) and UAE, 14 Million total. What income do they generate daily? All they can muster is a paltry 14million. Hell England spends more than that a day helping non British Citizens get one over on the taxpaying Citizens. Den, good response that. Just out of curiosity, Natural disasters aside how much do you individually donate to charities a year, local, church or otherwise. I estimate my yearly charitable contributions to be about $2500. Do you all give regularly or do you wait for the Global thing. See giving is a year round thing, I give regularly and I give diversely.
  10. Here we go again, don't want to belittle this thread or drag it away from it's true meaning but some folks should just keep their mouths shut until they have facts. Check your histories all your Stars and Stripes Stompers and I think you will find the US at or near the top in donating to disaster relief funds all over the World. While I have been here America has sufferd Mountains Exploding, Earthquakes, Hurricanes, devastating floods, Huge Tornadoes have destroy whole towns. While loss of life has often been relatively small due to good preparation and some noteworthy Engineering and design property loss and hardship for folks following these disasters has been devastating. I don't recall and "releif funds" coming IN from all you such fine charitable concerned people for the residents of America. That's it for me I am tired of you bloody two faced bigots.
  11. Bit sick isn't it Flopsy. A few posts in to one of the Worlds largest known natural disasters and you are gloating about possible destrution in North America. Sad mate quite sad. Read the post again me old mucker. I think you have taken it out of context. As for the Americans it's good to see them stung into action following criticism by the UN. I read it about 10 times and still don't get anything out of it, is it supposed to be funny? ALL JOY just what the (Please don't use that word again) is that supposed to mean.

  13. That's a similar headline to "Trouble in Middle East"; "Frenchman piddles in street", or "AESF chunters on". You could leave the planet for 6 months, come back and see that and think that nothing's changed! Heh Heh, nice one. Not laughing at Dunny, starting to feel a bit sorry for him. I am beginning to think more and more this Savage move will not happen. Brum seem to be standing firm and if we have any sense we won't go too far over the fair price for him. I can see the whole thing breaking down before the end of January. The only way I can see it will happen is by Savage slapping in a request before the end of the window.
  14. Do you want me to come, you usually do alright with me when it comes to arguing. Tough game this one if we can earn a point I will be happy. That would be five out of nine, respectable and somewhat acceptable given the Xmas schedule. If Villa shape like they did against United we could get some joy with Brett on the flanks but I don't think they will. If we play with the effort we have shown of late a point is not out of reach.
  15. Have we tapped him up? I have my doubts, we have seen many many instances of this type played out in the press before, it happens constantly. No one else complains of tapping up, nothing ever happens. If Rovers have then it is a stupid move, I do however think we are smarter than that. Likely sour grapes from Birmingham. I suspect the shipping of Bruce's son to Oldham slap bang in the middle of this thing has an underlying motive though.
  16. So am I, I was dead set against this appointment but the turnaround in this team is nothing short of miraculous. I feel pride again. If he can do the job after being allowed to bring in a few players that he has done so far he will be a success. I have not yet ate my words about his appointment but I am currently chewing them.
  17. And that my friend T4E is beautifully summed up, that is what it is about. Given we are likely to see some monies from the Beattie deal let's offer 1 Mill now and another Mill if we stay up. If Savage is what we need to stay in this league then as you say it is a wise investment regardless of how many years he plays for us. I can see why people don't like Robbie Savage but I must say he has the battling never say die sort of qualities I like to see in a player. As a footballer I do like him, as a whole packeage I am undecided.
  18. Saw the Newcastle goals yesterday, absolutely Brad should have been bearing down on the runner, something like Sorensen against Utd, but where was he on the line in his bloody look ay me I'm a Subbuteo Goalie stance. Fundamentals, fundamentals. Is the keeper coach earning his pay, I think not.
  19. Must agree with that, I said before it looks like Ferguson is too good for our team. Our forwards need to read Fergie better also. At the better teams he would be afforded just that little bit more time, we need to find a partner that can help protect him a bit so he can create. He's going to get better yet he's really only had a half a season to play and as I had heard one ex player comment yesterday, after a long layoff it takes 10-15 games to really regain your full fitness. I thought some of his passes against Newcastle were very good. For me Souness would have to match or better what we paid for him for us to even consider him. As far as Ferguson at Newcastle I think he would be a huge success, Butt to help him and Bellamy to run onto his passes, could be scary.
  20. No, don't tell me this. It's not possible. have they gone yet!!, yeah we did not deserve to win but thats football!!! we battered cheskie for 60 mins andgot beat 4-0, as someone once said, 'ita a funny awld game' Forgive me for being stupid but... Huh? I notice several complaints about Brads keeping, not that I have been saying similar things for a while, but I will keep my mouth shut before I am again accused of knowing nowt.
  21. Enjoy the game and enjoy the day John, let me know how Brad does
  22. Talking to me Dad in Harwood he said it's snowing quite a bit, any chance the game may be off?
