  1. Such as being squeezed inbetween two lard arses at a footy stadium?
  2. For me over here it's worth every penny.
  3. Silly being an massive understatement, yet it's me who's the muppet ha got to laugh don't you.
  4. Now you are talking, I will take you up on that.
  5. And here's me thinking they were going by the book on shirt pulling.
  6. You are not going to tell me you got all the way back there in three hours are you, BTW it's lose. God I hate that. Yes I can, if you can not see the game for what it was, prefering to throw a tantrum you must not really appreciate footy so perhaps you would be best served saving your time and money next time. It's about entertainment too.
  7. Saw brief highlights, very brief. Yes the ball was over the line and they were two very poorly taken penalties. We go a whole year without a penalty then get two together and miss them both. Funniest bit was Sam in the post match interview, accused Roberts (though it was infact Benni) of "theatrical diving" bit rich coming from him don't you think. As long as the lads played well we can't be too disheartened. Scabby lot Bolton, every time I see them they get some form of huge break in the luck department. More good stuff to come from us this season though I'm sure. Rover the Moon is a bit Rover the Top with his negativity too.
  8. I agree 100% and I did not expect much else from todays game. Obviously shocked we missed 2 pens. Some of the @#/? spouted on here, about page 6 I think beggars belief. I wish those armchairites would watch someone else, same negative drivel from the same people. Have we or have we not just gone 8 games unbeaten, did we or did we not outplay Bolton today.
  9. So the local rag is doing it's best to let Rovers down again? Arseholes. As far as the game goes, close game, tipped by whether the ref calls the cheating tactics or not. Can we put a springboard in the box, might make things easier for Spit.
  10. That Scholes, now there's a numpty. Don't bring up the home defeat by the wombles in the FA Cup, you'll get banned. As the person running the board he should be a bit less onesided. Loves to dish it out and stir it but can't take it. Marv's been ok, as has Longsiders but I agree with Gav, take your infighting back home.
  11. In typical Rovers luck he does not even suffer the injury playing for us. Get well soon Reidy.
  12. Many of us said it when McClaren was given the job, he's not the man. BTW I wonder if sparky and Robbie had a little wry grin on their chin today.
  13. Mmmm? Refuses Palace not wanting to uproot his family but would opt for Greece? Yup makes sense. Iwas gonna say... 2.7pts/game would have had us there or there abouts as Champions.
  14. Thought I'd throw in my two penneth, again. Now many of you know that I was not at all keen on the appointment of Sparky, dead set against it as a matter of fact. Just to let you lot know how good I am at spotting managerial talent my first choice at the time just got sacked this week. Worthington was the bloke I thought best to take Rovers forward. Should I sign up for some form of counselling?
  15. Like to listen to Sparky, level headed, confident but not smug or arrogant with it.
  16. I don't know about over there anymore but here, most places if you let your Boss you are looking for alternate employment chances are you will be let go in no time, often the same day. So perhaps not "all the time" in the real world. You can still be a terrific shot stopper with cat like reflexes but lack fundamentals, how long have you been waiting to try to pound that gravel up my arse. With my limited viewing I would have to say better.
  17. Me too, but as long as he is playing well and show 100% commitment then OK. What I found funny was Brad's comments about Lucas having no loss of form. Wasn't Brad having to pull off some of his stupendous saves cos of Lucas' boo boo's for a couple of years when Neill was average.
  18. Perhaps, as Revidge pointed out for the UEFA match the local paper will choose to ignore it and prefer to point out other forms of viewing the match. Good that, and I'll have a season ticket for the Longside next season.
  19. Something I would look into if I was Rovers Brass, move the Cameras to the other side. Let's show off the ground not the only stand we did not re-revelop. Perception counts a lot in trying to influence the young uns. The ground looks bloody great from the Riverside.
  20. Exactly my thoughts. Can't see Sparky standing in his way, unless he's already promised the #2 spot at Man U to him. Odd that Norwich would want a # 2 given that they were going on about a proven winner the other day, which led me to believe they wanted someone with management success. (Still, Sunderland were hiring a World Class manager and hired a greenhorn)
  21. Perhaps I can shed a little light on that from my pespective over here. Now granted I do not see anywhere near as much coverage of the footy as you folks in dear old England but let me give you my thoughts. As I saw it when Bolton started to do well, remember we did lots better than them in the Prem initially, they seemed to get a whole lot of positive media coverage (even though their style is crap). All the talk was of what a genius Fat Sam was and the constant parallels drawn to the little choo choo train that could really started to make me sick. It seemed to me that Bolton were getting a hell of a lot of positive press. When we did well we got little or no positive press, in fact we still have a Stigma attached that we are naughty. When in fact we now are capable of playing some delightful footy. Take it as you want but many people do not want to be associated with a team that is drawing negative press, particularly the young uns, they don't want to be ridiculed for following the team constantly bashed by the media. If we can get a sustained run of positives and superlatives coming from the press and TV it will help, not sure we ever will cos I can't help but wonder if we still aren't "blacklisted" somehow for winning the Title. I also wonder, though I did not realise it at the time, did we lose our identity to some of the locals when we flogged Messrs Duff and Dunn. Do we need some more local talent for the fans to relate to and feel more a part of what is going on. And what are the respective populations of.... well let's just say "people that may have no football interest"
  22. Good stuff Bob, keep 'em coming. I'd been wondering where the review was.
