I’m still smarting from the shambolic effort dished up at Huddersfield. We have little room for manoeuvre in terms of personnel…unfit, not ready, not good enough..I get that. But ..what happened to guts and total effort for the shirt ? Mark Hughes / Sean Dyche / Howard Kendal dogs of war ? Yes we are young and inexperienced but these lads need to show some balls and personal pride …there was not a shred of that at Huddersfield…so , whoever JDT selects I hope he’s checked their commitment first …Brittain needn’t travel !

I am also a season ticket holder and I won’t be on the Rotherham game … I can’t accept what is happening at our club at the moment . Im livid with myself for feeling the pain I feel .. I detest the leadership

I’m starting to feel contempt for the club I love . Im sick of how the club is run, sick of how it is managed , sick of how it looks, sick of how those shirts are abused by many not fit to wear them…Ive been turning up season upon season…since 1965….feeling helpless .

There is not one man in a shirt…. I get we lack experience but these overpaid , weak, soft lads have to turn up. They clearly aren’t good enough to play JDT’s system but at least they can show some balls . They need balls , he needs brain . It is not working and with this line up never will ..

That’s an insult to boys ! I get that we’re stretched, we’re young and we’re lacking in quality…but I cannot accept the beaten body language , the lack of intelligence ( Brittain) the terrible set up from JDT and the constant trying to do what we clearly cannot do ..we look tired, disinterested and lacking in any motivation. This manager has to start looking at the reasons why defensively were a shambles.

…..the sad things is ..we do have “ some men “….but they’re not even boys today. Appalling set up, weakness in character, really feel for those who travelled. I know how I feel after a performance like this as I trudge up Liveseybranch ..

We’ve obviously no money to spend ….but if we were to add to the squad I just ask one thing …..that due diligence is done regarding fitness . Ennis , clearly , never was and never will be fit enough to deserve a salary , same could be said of Siggurdson . Add these two to the always fragile Gallagher , the less than 90 minutes even when fit Rankin Costello and we have the problems we have now . Some clearly aren’t good enough / not ready …what I would give for an experienced striker with a good fitness record ….they exist in the lower leagues …but can we find them ? Obviously not !

Can’t believe what I’m seeing.. is this shocking or what ? We’re playing Malta FFS …Dire movement, dire management….and to think we’ve postponed a weekend if fixtures for this utter garbage … Southgate is the pits !

I sat in the JW lower as I had persuaded 3 friends to come for the game, not my usual Blackburn End … not a good choice, won’t be doing it again. …no atmosphere, negativity, total acceptance of failure ..but I do get why! On to the game ……where have these fancy flicks come from ? These half tackles ? These non communication moments ? We were poor but there was no leadership, just aimless pointing, gesturing, just no acceptance of responsibility ( I will let someone else shoot and miss or , as in the first half not shoot at all ) ..We’re limited in skill and experience but yesterday we were weak and without guts ( can’t accept that ) Clearly JDT has no confidence in Ennis or Telalovic ..neither used with a sub available when 1 down ? I think Leonard will come( right places, good movement) but he can’t carry the entire striking responsibility at 19 . The Ewood “ experience “ was poor yesterday and despite my best efforts my friends won’t be hurrying back .. We’ve boys doing the jobs of men on the pitch and clueless “ leaders “ doing the jobs off it commercially and in recruitment .I don’t mind a hard season what I mind is being conned that all is ok when clearly it’s not !

It’s got nothing to do with this town being unable to sustain a club at our level . This town has proudly sustained this club for years and years …but when the heart is ripped out, when the CEO is without intellect or ambition, when it’s owned by who it is …it’s not frustration John…it’s bloody amazing that we get the people through the gate we do. It’s like being present at the last rites …every week .

Pears is no better than he was when his Uncle Tony signed him. Adam Wharton is very , very poor this season. Travis ..just isn’t good enough between the ears or the touch of his boots…. Just imagine how the back 4 feel with this in front and behind them…..no wonder our goals against is what it is . JDT has much thinking to do ..but… when 4 of your signings are nowhere to be seen …Hill, Tronstad, Wahlstedt, Ennis …and this current starting line up is as weak as it is ..how poor is our club , how poor was this window and the previous ones? Venky’s are the reason yes ….but the current regime is both embarrassing and pathetic.

Luton…..ruthless, brave , combative all the way across the park, uncompromising, utterly focussed, hell bent on a positive outcome..what ever it took . Rovers…..if only we had some of this ..

To move on….Poor management today from JDT …the fact that Brererton was on the pitch at kickoff ….and as he continued his pathetic play not to be removed …sackable. Sad statement, I believe Dack won’t / shouldn’t be in a Rovers shirt again . Diaz will be robbing some poor owners somewhere Ayala off the wage bill, Thomas returned to Huddersfield , Mola returned…all these are positives .. Whether JDT stays or goes I just hope he’s learned something..this is a bloody tough league which needs balls on the field and balls in the dugout .. If I’m honest we’re not good enough, not equipped enough to take a play off place..but….as the young lads will have gained much from these tough months I hope we can build and develop

What an immensely sensible post! The commercial dept at Ewood would be advised to use your thoughts ..as they have few . You think out of the box, you write with the needs of the demographic..you do it , I assume , with a built in love and hope for the long term survival of the club. Our management infrastructure, from top to bottom is totally lacking in real thought and imagination…in fact it’s just totally lacking …… Well written Herbie !

Brererton arrived raw , lacking in confidence, still finding himself, poor touch , no football brain…did everything on instinct , not brave in the tackle. He had one “ effective “ season and…here we are , almost at the end of his contract…lacking in confidence, poor touch, no football brain…and finally, still not brave in the tackle ..would I play him tomorrow…not a chance .

I would start Leonard….totally inexperienced but he offers guts, a decent touch, a striker’s awareness…Brererton offers nothing…a waste of a shirt .

Having had a few hours to reflect in last night’s non performance I am less angry but more concerned. If I’m honest would I either expect us or like us to be in The Premier League next season….No ! …apart from taking the money and running back to the Championship ..to possibly rebuild I see no merit in promotion. With JDT at the front of operations ( on the field ) and Broughton and co at the running / admin side of things …we would be hammered every week .Now, I can take “ hammerings “ if we learn from it …We don’t ! Tommason …..Time and again dire selection, the fact he can’t / won’t play a midfield 3 when it’s crying out for it, continually slow build up from the back, sad reliance on Brereton and Gallagher when neither is anywhere near good enough or fit enough , and the final nail for me …what he says never matches what we do …..Teams mirror their manager ( Clough , Ferguson , Shankley , Kendall, , Hughes )……this one does …nice lads not a lot of idea . Broughton …Mola ? Hurst ? Morton ? …and to top it all ..the non window in January due to incompetence …we don’t learn and with the current , non aspirational personnel at Ewood we won’t .
