  1. I imagine it would have came from the mouth of the manager at the time and repeated to the press in fairness
  2. Aghast that folk think that stay away and silent owners are better than 90% of other owners. if we did somehow magically get up I think we would have to ready our medicine for a bit of a difficult season coming straight back down, however it would give us the financial needed to get up again and then make a better fist of it, probably Fulham is your best comparison. So a bit of yo-yo -ing needed before stability again in the top flight imo
  3. My heart says us but my head says not at the other end I want Huddersfield to drop, never forgave them for sealing our relegation to league 1 by playing their ressies and gives us an easier road to signing Thomas if the club wants to
  4. I didn’t have an opinion on sheff Utd until this season but feels like they have cheated here so I now dislike them as a club. they nicked our top target when they didn’t have the money to pay for it, it’s fraud. Could be the difference between us and them going up. Giving them an embargo afterwards seems like a futile punishment , but hey when has the efl ever looked out or done us a favour , just really annoying
  5. Good, can’t say I’m that fond of Wigan, relegated us, broke dack and laughed about it, had the horrible Sam morsy and manager Paul cook on their side, stole our league 1 title, always seem to get results v us. Goodbye
  6. Been a bit disappointed in brittain, has shown he can be a very good player but against Leicester and yesterday he has came on and looked very nervy
  7. Leverkusen in the eufa cup under Hughes, they employed some right shit house tactics and I really wanted to beat them, sadly we could only muster a 0-0 at Ewood that knocked us out having lost the first game 3-2
  8. Bit of an overreaction on morten imo. He showed bravery going for the second goal, he is a young lad and he got a poke in the eye and stopped playing, he will learn. im disappointed but more so I’m proud of the lads today, stood up to a hostile environment and gave it their all, showing that they can play under pressure. Feel this will put us in good stead for the rest of the season and they won’t want to suffer the same disappointment in our ultimate quest. let’s get a bit of perspective albeit I know everyone will be disappointed about not going to Wembley
  9. Gave a very good account of ourselves, can’t fault the effort from the lads. Disappointing but was always a free hit. I thought pears might have been able to save that winner as good a hit as it was, got a hand to it
  10. Wish we could stop the season now, be delighted if we got Luton over 2 games for a crack at the big time
  11. One of those wins that makes you more angry than happy, how we weren’t on east street I will never know, but if composure up top and we could’ve had 4, 5 easy, as it was we got hit by the sucker punch and even at the end there we were hanging in with some very poor game management, get it in the corner, make the extra man count and keep the ball. didn’t think the tactics were right here, exactly the type of match Dolan is made for, much more than stoke, he should’ve started. I have been singing their praises but jrc and pears weren’t great, maybe they won’t hold their places , kaminski and brittain will be knocking on the managers door if so. Yes 3 points is all that matters I just wish I could’ve enjoyed it more
  12. Everything has to come to an end, we hadn’t just beat Sunderland 5-1 at this own patch
  13. Stoke are the form team, no disgrace getting beat off them Friday
  14. If we want to stay in the mix tomorrow’s nights game is getting near to a must win
  15. Yea I get that but wasn’t sure if they were loans to buy. Smallbone, Pearson, hoever and Laurent are all excellent champ midfielders
  16. Watching Stoke again tonight, got to admit I’m a little envious of their midfield. I’d happily take any of them here. Think they could be a good shout for promotion next year
  17. All our problems came from this side, Dolan is great going forward and when we are doing a successful high press, what he isn’t good at is tracking back. In this type of game you don’t want your resistance to be Dolan and Pickering on one side. Jdt didn’t change this quick enough. The middle was disconnected too, smallbone especially was finding pockets all over it. Not a game for buckley, again pretty much same as dolan. Not everyone’s favourite but I’d rather have Morton In there for this type of game. Jrc Iv loved him recently but he had a shocker, I’d have hooked him for brittain much sooner. back to Dolan I’d have had bbd left for this one as he is actually very good at defending , part of his game he doesn’t get credit for.
  18. Couldn’t watch it live as I was working but recorded it and watched it in the early hours, we can have no complaints about the result, if anything 3-2 flattered us. We weren’t at it at all last night, and it is my worry that we can’t seem to turn poor around. Some of those that I have been highly praising recently were woeful last night so they will again be on my radar for consistency. But it’s a game I didn’t like the look of it and so it turned out to be, if we get a good performance and win on Wednesday then all is forgiven for this one
  19. Some players have really stepped up last few games, some that I didn’t think they had it in them jrc pears szmodics all undroppable currently when I thought all were for the exit door travis was a liability first half of the season but has been unbelievable the last two games Iv watched, maybe needed a kick up the arse gallagher will never be everyone’s cup of tea and can be hella frustrating but he can also be a right nuisance for oppositions centre backs, takes the knocks and does the unsexy stuff to let others play and for that I appreciate him dack and brereton aren’t in the team for me at the moment while the others mentioned continue to perform. Great impact subs hyam is a great signing I have been critical of Jdt so must give him credit where credit is due and we look like we have a plan these days and can be resolute when needed. Still refreshing from mowbrays nonsense
  20. Proud as punch of this team this week, absolutely superb. After been very apprehensive at the start of the season, I’m starting to believe……
  21. Not keeping the ball well at all , won’t hold out unless we start having more possession
  22. Could honestly have been about 5 different players worthy of motm, travis would have got mine just for his game management , thought he was crucial when we started to come under the cosh
