O’Rourke is quite reliable as far as ‘twitter journalists’ go. Would be strange if he’s off the mark, or it could all be agent talk.

If Kilkenny does sign, then I hope Wharton or Garrett are loaned out to L1/L2 so they can get some regular game time. GB stated in a podcast that he and JDT spoke with Wharton and wanted him to be in a similar situation to Tyler Morton by the end of the season. He did say he’s already further along than they thought he would be, yet he sits on the bench and doesn’t get a sniff of game-time.

I know from what GB said during the Hyam announcement that they’re busy behind the scenes and bids/enquiries will go in without us knowing. According to Transfermarkt his contract ends on 31/12/2023 so we may be able to get him on a cheaper deal. You just hope we can get it over the line without one of the parachute payment clubs snapping him up, similar to Ahmedhodzic who’s been on the best defenders in the league this season.
