I understand that but the point still stands. 18 is very young to play 1st team football in the championship so he must have personality. I coach/manage some elite players and I can see the ones who's personality gets them starts and obviously the ones that crumble. Believe me, forest first team at 18 is a big thing

I know if we need a goal and I turn round and I can pick from Palmer, Rothwell or Brereton....Brereton is bottom of my list, with JR top. I just cant understand what he's up to keep bringing him on.

I worry that TM has Williams in the team. In fact, it’s like he’s trying to find a place for him. On that basis I call into question his judgment and therefore I think we should replace him. Like someone else said, Williams puts us in trouble with every touch he has.

It seems to me that although I like TM, he's a bit of a dinosaur in the transfer market. Sold a pup in Brereton, Downing is the son of his mate from west brom and isn't good enough, weve got the shittest Chelsea loanee, gladwin, Davenport, rothwell, rodwell, etc, etc,....yawn! The club needs to go for it if we have coin, get Paulo Fonseca in from Shaktar and promise him a chance of getting into the prem. He gets access to Mendes stable and we have a much better chance of promotion. Then we get the Mason mounts/Abrahans etc on loan.

Problem here is that if you play 3 at the back, they all need to be quick and very comfortable on the ball...Charlie is comfortable on the ball but not quick, Downing is not comfortable on the ball and is not quick and Lenihan is not comfortable on the ball and is middling for pace. Against Leeds, they'd put 3 up front and kill us. Especially as we aren't used to it and dont have the defensive legs for it. It would be suicide (IMV)

Are you suggesting he’s being told to play him? Because I think everyone in that stadium yesterday would have put rothwell on instead. Either Tony’s being told to play him or he’s pig headedly sticking with him

Stick him up front..... he’s not a full back but is a good player. All his finishing he can practice . There’s much more in him

He did ok for 5 mins then they sussed him out. One trick pony and hasn’t got the footballing ability or brain to play against the better teams in this league

Confidence is a huge part of a young players game. He's 19 and struggling with the pressure as fans moan etc. I've seen him do good things in this league, have a look on Google. Mowbray needs to manage him now.
