Then you might just have lost a bit of the team spirit. Dropping promoted players straight away...no good reason. The squad wouldn't have that. I think TM will phase Bell in and one or two others. It's a long season and the lads that got us up at least need to get the first game.

What about Ashley Fletcher. ? He's a local boy (fairly) and has good energy and presence. His goalscoring isn't proven but there might be something there. Maybe a loan....I'm sure he'd be interested personally.

He might be able to slot in a top 2 side against very mediocre forward lines at times, but mark my words if he plays centre half in the championship he will get taken to the cleaners by the quality in this league. Totally, totally with you on this....Downing has gone under the radar a bit due to our good form in L1 and our non-reliance upon him. My view is that he's not L1 level and any games that he plays in the championship will end in defeat. He's not up to quick quality attackers. Slightly better than that other dolloper who came about the same time as him.....Elliot Ward..? To seriously stay in this league we need 2 x quality defenders extra

Not really. Rothwell showed glimpses and with Dack, Graham and other better players, I think he'll do ok.

It's not. I like mowbray but the lack of activity is alarming for me. Conway I don't understand, surely a younger quicker player could have his wages. If we lose either CM or DL we've got nothing to cover. Graham will revert back to looking lathargic......we need an injection of 4/5 starters

Not sure about the manager at Stoke. I think they will start badly, sack him and then end up with a decent manager.

I'd try and sign Matt Smith from QPR. We are a much bigger club and I think he would be an asset to us at both ends.

There's only one way we are going if there's not at least 4 new players who will start. Announcing new contracts on sky like we are making new signings worries me. Teams are spending and improving squads and my worry is that we are in for the Jason Lowe"s of this world
