  1. Never has a truer word been spoken. My wife and kids probably fall in the same category.
  2. With graham, Armstrong, Gallagher and Brereton we have a good mix of age and style.
  3. Yes I feel let down by the transfer window and that would go a little way towards making me feel better. Not happy but better.
  4. From the outset Mowbray wanted to add quality and players such as mcginn , freeman and the lad from forest I believe represent this. Would I want Windass and garner ? If your looking at the present possibly and grudgingly yes. Are they significantly better than what we have? Debatable. If your trying to build something the other three show more purpose and ambition and would have raised the overall standard of the team. That I feel is what we should be aiming towards. However I agree the end result leaves a feeling of deflation and anti climax. Maybe for Mowbray and Waggot when Speaking about transfer policy. They need to walk the walk when they talk the talk.
  5. But looking at it another way we will not be worse which is already an improvement on the last few years. That is therefore a positive and a reason for optimism even if it proves to be ill founded.
  6. Sorry yours is much more comprehensive. I’m convinced if no one else is.
  7. I thought bowyer charltons managers said we had made several bids for Bauer and they wanted to keep him and offer a new contact. He then went public and refused the offer.I don’t think that was through the HITC site. Trapp I don’t know thought it was from Columbus Crew themselves
  8. Has gestede not had injury problems over the last few years.
  9. This is a question not a criticism has I’ve never heard of or seen the guy play. Is Trapp from list A,B,C or D.
  10. Mine are Bauer, Maddison, Chapman, McGinn and abraham
  11. Brighton are so far south it’s almost France. So yes your right
  12. Of course Celtic are a big club. Unfortunately the premiership do not buy regularly from the spl. Statiscally the premiership feels more comfortable buying from efl clubs than the spl. If you are a player who wants to reach the money tree of the premiership you have a better chance from the efl. However if premiership football and wages is McGinns aim he’s probably better going anywhere in Europe or further and making his name sound a little more continental. Then Bingo he’s in.
  13. The hibs guy Mcginn is exactly what we need. Our 2 in the 4,2,3,1 are not the answer. Evans(no) is only interested in Corry Evans and has been since he arrived.Whittingham legs gone and signing him was a mistake but that happens. Although it pains me to say it Smallwood is one division above his ability but not his attitude. He would die for the cause. If we can put in a player of Mcginns standard and attitude next to younger players like Davenport and Travis. It will not only improve the team but improve the younger lads who play with him. It may not happen but that would be where my money would go.
  14. I still believe and will accept the ridicule if this fails to happen. That we will be impressed by the signings. No information leaks from ewood and that lack of information is what causes the anxiety. Yet Wagott says signings will increase season ticket sales and Mowbray seems relaxed and confident. Make of that what you will. We’ll find out in the next few days and weeks. if this is wrong god help me
  15. Without individual analysis I thought from start to finish we looked organised and comfortable. The second goal was a shot come cross and either great skill or lucky take your pick. I’m disappointed with a draw because I think we where better than that but the Ipswich fellas we where with thought they did well. i think we have the makings of a team and from where I seated every single player starter or substitute ran and worked hard, that was without exception. Are there better players out there. Yes. However ours players show commitment to the cause and this is a team game. At the end they looked gutted and that is a great start, because they wanted to win and it’s a long time since we had players who care. COYB
  16. Or in an alternative universe mulgrews fitness holds up and he proves a positive asset rather than a liability. Armstrong ends up the leagues leading scorer due to a manager who brings the best out of him. Team unity and work ethic takes us to promotion and Dack extends his contract. Now doesn’t that feel better.
  17. Great signing and Mowbray brings the best out of him. Not to be greedy but give me Gallagher or Abraham and one of Maddison or chapman and things are looking much more like it
  18. Working down in bury st Ed’s going on Saturday. Prediction 3v2(45/1) to Rovers Dack, Dack and Dack.Giddy with excitement. I’m sure rovers will soon knock that out of me. COYB
  19. Wetherspoons for me. Working down in Suffolk and Norfolk and went in the station pub a couple of weeks ago beer meh and not as cheap as spoons. Staying in norwich or bury st Ed’s and train in on Saturday. COYB
  20. Let’s all give a definitive list of who we personally think are acceptable signings. (Assuming we have madams £5 million per year assault on the summit of the premiership and champions league and obviously before our fall off the precipice). Mine are Tammy Abraham young fast and tall. Poor prem experience with Swansea needs to revisit the championship. We could offer an ideal platform good goals per game ratio in this league Sam Gallagher not as old as you think and has a lot of championship experience although not the greatest goal per games ratio but been in some stinker teams.Tall but slower Adam Armstrong short young and fast . Poor championship form but Mowbray does seem to bring the best out of him. I would be happy with any one and ecstatic with two of these three. To set limits you can’t have messi, neymar or Ronaldo as these would break efl ffp rules( maybe, potentially sort off). If not I’ll have 2 of these three.
  21. Neymar and messi no championship experience this not an easy league. Neymar not the hold it up kind of striker that can bring Dack into play. We need a get in your face type. Punt it long bring it down arse and elbows. Is that this neymar fella. Waghorn for me messi plays in dacks role is he going to be happy on the bench?
  22. Who is better than Armstrong with championship experience and young, hungry and available. The list is not long and depends on preference and opinion. Tammy Abraham. Sam Gallagher Are there others?
  23. Everton are not a nothing club just under achievers. Years of top flight, large fan base and lots of money but it doesn’t translate into trophies ( see Liverpool) and I fear still won’t. However if I lived in Liverpool I would 100% support everton
