  1. Went to both Swansea and yesterday and while it was only a point from 6 the qualties of determination and resilience shine through. I can’t comment on formations etc but the one thing I can say you never leave games without feeling a sense of pride in the of the team for the effort and desire they put in. Yesterday was tremendous and better teams Under those circumstances have capitulated but not ours. They are a pleasure to watch and be associated with and long may it last. COYB
  2. Lambert is quickly becoming a journey man.Left us because of issues not sure what they where. Not good enough for wolves. Just maybe he is not as good has he thinks he is. Will he have the release clause in this one to ensure they match his personal expectations. To big for his boots is this one( according to yoda). Poor manager in my opinion who is packed full of excuses.Good luck to Ipswich
  3. No we haven’t they just got confidence. We haven’t changed. Had them until the goal from nowhere
  4. Well that was out of the blue. They are very poor and now it’s 2
  5. Tackles go in injuries happen. Marker was a genuine player. United and Ferguson at the time only complained about what happened to them. He is probably 1 of 100s of sporting injuries. Believe it or not football is a contact sport and injuries happen. I know for a fact if our players aren’t getting stuck in then I feel their not trying. He got injured united complained what’s new. It’s mans game apparently. Nothing wrong with marker or marker type players. If united don’t want player to get injured don’t play them.
  6. If his attitude wasn’t right would Mowbray play him?
  7. On for the 1.5 per game and an 8th/9th finish. Winning ugly is part of the game and I’d take that every week. Three really stinker games coming up and we have breathing space. COYB
  8. I agree mid table is a more tha acceptable assumption but this league is unbelievable inconsistent in the results it produces. Rotherham beat derby who look excellent against us. Boro lose against Norwich who have been poor. Couple that with questionable referring decisions on a regular basis and it is not beyond the realms of possibility that with a little sprinkling of fortune a play off place is achievable. This however can be applied to most of the division and has you said mid table is more likely.
  9. That final paragraph is a great overall analysis and just about sums everything up. No extra needed
  10. I’m not sure why Palmer is picked over Rothwell who is a better all round player
  11. Sorry Stuart I wouldn’t give opinion without observation. So yes I watched the game. However the great thing about football and this board is we can watch the same thing and see it differently. However the one thing we all agree on what a great point and I’d have taken that whichever way we got it.
  12. You are just so wrong. I apologise if that appears critical but sometimes you have to do the dirty bits and just accept it. There will never be a game where the opposition doesn’t have chances but none of tonight has been back to the walls hang on stuff. Mine is an opinion but the word I would use is professional
  13. Sometimes you just have to admire strong organised defence and that doesn’t happen with strangers
  14. I’m not sure what the negativity is for. Defensively we appear sound . Can’t be matching everyone attacking wise every game. Their a good team. We’re look solid. I’ll regret this if they score a few.
  15. I’m not sure what the point of this Dack criticism is. I go to work and do my job. I finish work and relax. He’s not in the squad for today for whatever reason and therefore he’s not in work ergo he can relax. I suggest the day your work colleagues or others( supporters) start to tell you what you can and can’t do in your own time is the day you move on. In particular and hypocritically the criticism is levelled from people on the internet commenting on football rather than preparing in a professional manner for work tomorrow.
  16. Then we’ll have to go there and win (We seem to be getting better at it). Is it 2 defeats in 40? Not big on Saturday night research but big on optimism or misplaced belief take your pick. COYB
  17. Now that’s the attitude we like. Glass full
  18. I don’t feel and nor do you that you can place the failings of a flawed regime and its resurrection on the back of a 19 year old. Mowbray if a judgement is made will be assessed on the whole rather than its parts.Brereton is just a cog and one that Mowbray obviously feels fits. From past form Venkys won’t know he exists. They have squandered 130 million for god sake. They let Keane run and run. He resigned!!!! Forget the transfer figure because they will. We are on the up and if Brereton fits the game plan then he’s cheap. How much is promotion worth these days a lot more than 6 million. In my opinion and I tend to be wrong more than right I think we may be going for it with Mowbray attempting to temper expectations.
  19. On the subject of Brereton and the negotiations. I think we can all agree that this is a live one and due to its protracted length all sides involved want a deal to be made. Do Forest want to sell yes. Will the player come yes. I feel that we are reaching the end game with this one there’s only so much you can ask for and only so much ground that can be given. Will it happen my guess is yes because in reality all parties want it and it’s not become a bidding war which I think is what forest where waiting for.
  20. I agree but we’ve got that accustomed to buying players that can’t play, have a bad attitude and cost us a fortune to get rid of ( best, Murphy, orr). It makes a refreshing change to imagine a signing that makes us money by actually being good at football and wanting to play.
  21. The one who is a little bit quicker pace wise than the rest of our midfield. I can’t reveal my source but it’s a done deal.
