  1. Oh I've been in many games. If you've an old copy of LMA Manager floating about I'm a youth team player for Rovers. I used to do all the Rovers stats for these PC games (in case you ever wondered by Dailly was rated poorly )
  2. Yes it was O'Keefe with the glancing header. If anyone is concerned about our Academy, there's no-one from United's that'll make their way through on today's showing, none of them are above 5'5" either!
  3. Players who are out of contract in the summer are free to negotiate contracts for the summer in January to clubs from another football federation. Neill wouldn't be free to disuss a move to another English club be it January or June without BRFC's permission
  4. More Aussies on the official one now than on here, and most of them are young ladies.
  5. I've already stated that the average is £13 and the average spend per fan on top of that is £3
  6. Fans have to complete a quiz before signing up on the official board now, that stops the spambots stone dead.
  7. We've still spent plenty, those new contracts over the summer for Nelsen, Pedersen, Reid, Tugay etc aren't cheap you know!
  8. But everyone else gets that minimum too. So we are operating at a disadvantage when we are competing against the likes of Manchester City, Everton, Aston Villa (pre Lerner) as they get almost twice as many fans through their doors every other week, meaning that their gate revenue per season is twice that of ours. It is only because Rovers run such a tight ship when it comes to their spending that we are able to make up some of the differences. Finances certainly isn't my area but I'm sure that our non-footaballing expenses on a year by year basis is significantly lower than many other clubs that we compete against in the Premiership. (Liverpool have 18 staff involved with their website!!) As has said by others, if only we had an extra 5000 fans every fortnight, it would make such a huge difference to our coffers and the money available to spend on the team. How much have you spent on your UEFA Cup home tickets so far this season Gordon?
  9. When we played Cardiff in the FA Cup replay of two years ago we wanted to reduce the prices to around the usual £10 mark, Cardiff were fully against this and wanted more, I think eventually we met them half way and the price was about £20. The old, extra crowds = more money spent at kiosks is sadly not true, the average spend per person on non-ticket revenue is something like £3
  10. The boss said to me something like, "it isn't a strain, it is a tear"
  11. Rovers reserves played Liverpool's equivalent a week ago, chatting to the lad from Liverpool doing their website updates, it would appear that Liverpool effectively have two academies, the proper one that Steve Heighway manages, and one full of Benitez recruits. For what its worth, the guy who scored the Liverpool goal was a 'Heighwayman'
  12. They'll have been asked to submit their request in writing, we aren't refusing anyone a ticket unless they are Liverpool supporters.
  13. Away first, home second. 8th March, then 14th or 15th March
  14. Go on, mention it as a Valentines Day treat!
  15. No idea on the actual date of the game yet John. UEFA in their editorial piece now have Lens through... http://www.uefa.com/competitions/uefacup/n...sid=490959.html
  16. UEFA.com have OB in third and Lens bottom. http://www.uefa.com/competitions/uefacup/S...Group=2702.html (Don't ask me how they've worked it out though)
  17. All places now confirmed! Livorno (Italy) Leverkusen (Germany) Sporting Braga (Portugal) OB (Denmark) Zulte Waregem (Belgium) Hapoel Tel-Aviv (Israel) Fenerbahce (Turkey) Heerenveen's late goal against Lens sees the Danish side OB sneak in despite not playing.
  18. As of 21:05, Rovers could be drawn against... Livorno (Italy) Leverkusen (Germany) Sporting Braga (Portugal) Lens (France) Zulte Waregem (Belgium) Hapoel Tel-Aviv (Israel) Fenerbahce (Turkey)
  19. Closest I can remember in recent times was West Ham v Rovers in the League Cup in 2000, Souness put out a rather weak side... Blackburn: Kelly ,Curtis ,Martin Taylor (Flitcroft ,73 ) ,Dailly ,Kenna ,McAteer ,Carsley ,Dunning ,Johnson (Douglas ,56 ) ,Ostenstad ,Richards (Dunn ,68) Subs not used Filan,O'Brien, Taylor, Dunning, Johnson, Douglas, Richards and Dunn all came through. Of course there will have been games where Taylor, Duff, Dunn and Johnson will have played.
  20. Ah that explains 'Biscuit Way' (or whatever) as one of the road names around the ground.
  21. Yeah I saw that this afternoon!, looks like someone somewhere gave me duff info. Anyway it'll be about 3.15pm.
  22. I rang Radio Rovers as soon as I heard them say that, it is wrong, he has already served his ban, did they not retract it?
