  1. It's the full game I think. Certainly be watching! Edit. Or maybe not after seeing that!
  2. Off topic I know but Rovers v Man City from 2000 on Sky Sports at 12 today Classic match apparently, anybody remember the score?

  4. I believe only 9 clubs out of the 24 in the championship have so far made a signing. You said it yourself, only 16 days since the season finished. We are not alone in this.
  5. Never known a time when so many decent players were available on frees. They are definitely there if TM gets it right this time (fingers crossed, tin hat ready)
  6. How about Brad Smith, released by Bournemouth. Didn't we nearly sign him on loan under Coyle before they came in for him last minute? 2:57 pm · 5 Aug 2020·Twitter for Android Rich Sharpe @richsharpe89 · 2h Replying to @matthewwalmsley correct. And there were noises about something in January before he went to Cardiff. A possibility.
  7. Rich Sharpe thinks we tried for Brad Smith in January but ended up going to Cardiff so could have legs
  8. Northampton Town We are pleased to announce the signing of goalkeeper Jonathan Mitchell on a season-long loan from Derby County. Welcome to the Cobblers, Jonathan! Northampton sign keeper. Could be sign Cornell about to move on
  9. So do I. I was just talking about comparing them as a midfield pairing, and I would have Johnson over the other 2.
  10. No, having watched all 4 players I would much rather have Travis and Johnson than the other 2. Why, do you disagree? Don't need stats to tell me that
  11. Who said "there are lies, damn lies and statistics"? Prefer to believe what I see with my own eyes tbh.
  12. Just a thought, but both Wharton and Goode played in a defence which played with a back 3, with Wharton on the left of the 3. Just wondering how difficult it is to adapt to playing in a back 4 from a back 3?
  13. Wasn't aware we were being asked to sign up for anything yet. The last I heard was in the Telegraph a couple of days ago when no decision had been made. All I know is I will be signing up when it is made, this is my club and its worth more than a few quid in my back pocket., especially in the current climate.
  14. Think you're right, certainly everybody I spoke to wasn't interested in a refund.
  15. Have to agree, saw him play the one league game against Wigan (I think), and he didn't win a header all game. Also didn't have a great time on loan at Rochdale I gather
  16. Being linked with Jordan Jones again https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&url=https://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport/football/football-transfer-news/jordan-jones-set-rangers-exit-22444903.amp&ved=2ahUKEwjuyq6ag_fqAhUoURUIHUJvApoQFjAXegQIAxAB&usg=AOvVaw3Ic7VhImjMJoq4Pksa1D8v&ampcf=1

  19. Not according to Shearers comments in a TV program with Gary Neville. Said the cruciate injury had no effect on his style of play at all, felt as good as ever. It was an achilles injury later in his career he reckons made him change the way he played with Newcastle
  20. Shearer missed half of his first season with Blackburn through injury after snapping his right anterior cruciate ligament in a match against Leeds United in December 1992, but scored 16 goals in the 21 games in which he did feature.[9] Didn't do too bad for us after that!
  21. No thanks. As I've said a few times on here, goalkeeping standards in my opinion are at rock bottom at the moment and have been for the last 5 years or so. God knows who we will end up with, but as long as he can do a cruyff turn in his own 6 yard box and spray 60 yard balls out to the wing, that seems to be the criteria these days
  22. Have to say that in my time of watching football, the standard of goalkeeping has never been worse. Every game I watch seems to have a howler or two, and I am convinced it is due to the way managers now want keepers to be better with their feet than their hands. Just keep the ball out of the bloody net! Oh for big Brad.
