Watched a titchy bit of Sherwood last night, looks like it's going to be a real heavy hitter of a show, gonna have to put it on the back burner until I'm in the mood for something heavy though, right now I just fancy something in the 'guilty pleasure' spectrum of shows

Hughes pulling Nelson and Samba (and mokoena to an extent) out of thin air for next to nothing! At a time when our defense was absolutely on its arse, those where the days 😍😍😍 Where. Times have changed, not just for us but for professional football in general, so hard to find a bargain and get them in on the quiet these days, especially an overseas bargain! There's eyes everywhere, as soon as one club puts a bid in for a player its news in minutes causing other clubs to perk up and the vultures descended.

This season I'd rather wait for the right players that are going to make us stronger in the long term than waste money signing players just for the sake of it. That said, still sooner the better, especially at right back and cb 😂 😂

Just such a poisoness place sometimes here, unless we're in the middle of a winning steak at the top end of the table its nothing but ultra pessimism (and I'm not always the most positive and optimistic person so that is saying something)

True! He had no idea what to do with him though if you remember, played him more as an attacking midfielder and he was initially just looking like a bit of a show pony from what i remember, it was Souness that quickly turned him into a brilliant all round centre forward 🙌

I think Hedges looks a decent squad player at least, I also think he could make a more consistent performer than Rothwell Yes it was dumb to pay a fee for him then not play him until our season was as good as over when we could have just waited and got him for free(unless another club came in for him with a better contract offer!) but that said I think if we where to sell him we'd easily recoup what we paid, so still potentially a safe investment

Looks well built for a 15 year old, must be pretty tough mentally to not be afraid of getting stuck in with the seniors
