thinking of either watching The Staircase or We Own This Night next! both look brilliant

We haven't quite just let them go.... They've had contracts on the table probably since last summer, they left because they wanted more money etc.... I don't think any of them are/where worth breaking the bank over. Lenihan and nyambe are jusy average championship defenders and although i do like Rothwell he has only had one good 6 month spell in all of his years here

We have been in the past, during the first few years with the venktaro! We then spent years suffering for the mistakes and money lost during that spell Recent years we've just been treading water Can only hope the next few years see a resurgence and we regain some of the respect we lost ๐๐๐ (i know its a big hope, but what else can you/we do? Just give up hope completely!) So no, i don't think "worst" is now the right word when you look at the mess some clubs like derby are in, shoddy and unconventional yes. ๐คทโโ๏ธ

Just got through all of Succession in a week or so! Epic show, it's the ultimate family drama! Proper Shakespeare shit with a big dollop of Fraud๐ the writing is brilliant and the acting by all the cast is just outragous! Each of the characters are so deep and believable, you should hate them all but they're all so human you can't not emphasise with each of them. They could really have just ended it with the way things conclude at the end of season 3 and it would have been 3 perfect seasons. Looks like it's still going to be a good while before season 4 airs though, just hope they don't stretch things too thin because it could very easily become cliched if they just keep churning it out.

That's my main memory of JDT as a young Newcastle player. Signed on to be a squad player(and one for the future) then Shearer goes and gets a serious injury leaving a very young inexperienced Tomasson to try and fill his boots in the 9 nine role as an outNout goalscorer, which he just wasn't. He's kinda like their Kevin Davies of the time, too much pressure and expectation put on him.... But went away rebuilt his confidence and reputation then had a very respectable career at the top of the game (so not quite Davies, although davies had a very respectable career in the prem)

Pretty accurate. Even with Ferguson i personally think he'd make a poor manager for us, but at least I like his never say die attitude, was a big fan of him as a player and could get behind him (just please dont make me have to though ๐) but the likes of woodgate, pardew, etc... I just dislike on every level

That person wants sacking! Living near ewood park and seeing and hearing the staff at Ewood going about their days outside the ground occasionally, they really are mostly just dopey dillbert airheads from out of town (or at least from the cosier areas on the outskirts of blackburn) and probably just got the job because their daddy knows somebody that knows somebody there...

Maybe it's simply a case of having to keep a few of Mowbrays team on just so that there's people here to take pre season and keep things ticking over... I think that they might all be gone once the new managers in and had chance to assess things and build his own coaching team over the next 6 months ๐ค

Good post Like ya way of thinking! I think most of the managers we've been linked with bar Farke would come with the same level of risk once you look at the all individually and way their pros and cons up, So now (after their salary!!) i think it will largely come down who they think the fans will instantly warm to more.. Which is where I think JDT has a slight advantage as he seems a very smart, likely affable person where as someone lile Ferguson is a bit more of a divisive character, I also think (like a lot of European managers) Tomasson would be more adaptable and open minded tactically, etc... Where as British managers still tend to be more 'what you see is what you get' plus being a "head coach" as opposed to a manager is usually more second nature to European managers. Is Bohinen managing? Really liked him as a player here very underated! I'll have to get googling on him. Sven errr bit cringy, but maybe he has one good season left in him and could offer the experience and maturity we need during whats going to be a big transitional period whils broughton tries making his mark behind the scenes at the club Oh and ive mentioned a few times in the past that I think Solskjaer would be a great fit four our club, but for whatever reasons the majority on here just don't seem to like him. Which is fair enough i suppose

The current tv show does look really good, I've been "recording" it! But i also found the full origin documentary series absolutely fascinating, so it makes me a bit wary of watching the tv show weirdly incase they've taken liberties i don't like for the sake of added drama. As they've just done with the terrible tiger king tv show!

I don't know! If it's Genny your refering to then i thought hed already crossed that line early in season 2 when he killed a completely innocent stranger after stealing their car. I've still not got around to watching "The immortal" yet. You?

I'm like 99% certain that the John Dahl Tomasson talk/speculation all started in this very thread about 3 weeks ago when someone simply posted his name and nothing else! (can't remember who the poster was and it was very random at the time, but surely he must now go in the legit ITKers group๐ ) Anywhooo from that day and googling up on jdt he's been an outsider on own personal shortlist, so hopefully its not just the gossip of the day and there's actually some substance to it๐
