  1. Sam feck8n Allardyce jeezus, if people are going to reminisce then why not at least think of the good pre-venky times!
  2. Not really, should always just be the most talented man for the job imo, it's a bonus if they're local or already have an affinity with the club. I'm sure there are loads of 'locals' doing jobs and knocking about behind the scenes at the training ground that keep a lower profile
  3. Was my thought also, where do they find these spoilt little disinterested dullard shits We should be scouring the estates of blackburn and nearby towns & villages for our next crop of youngsters, kids that actually just love playing football with real fight and a desperation to make good lives for themselves and their families.
  4. Just watched the first episode of obi-wan kenobi and already I'm board with it. Disney really aren't going to be content untill they've completely mined the life out the original trilogyand left it dead on the scrap heap.
  5. I totally agree, actions speak louder than words in football. It's only that it's such a small gesture though, it's just odd for the owners of any club not to at the very least personally put out a short statement welcoming them and wishing them the best
  6. Sorry just another bum note! But would it really have killed the venkys to put out a personal statement welcoming the new manager to the club
  7. Which one is he again? Looks like he'd be a right sneaky tell tale
  8. Hope not! He was pretty average and a real sick note in his prime, now in his mid 30s! What could he really offer? May as well bring MGP back as well before he retires 🙃
  9. I genuinely without any bias think we've easily got the better man for the job long term, Kompanys a big name, but other than that there's nothing impressive about his cv since retirement
  10. Gallagher confused and thinking ohhh is Bradley Johnson back! Hopefully there's not too much ptsd from mowbrays calamities.
  11. Greg even shares a resemblance to Vision 🙃 Not sure who that makes his Scarlet Witch!
  12. Gregg Broughton says he thinks it could take a couple of transfer windows to get the team right! I think that in itself is pretty bloody ambitious!! 🤞🤞
  13. I agree with what you say, apart from when someone does actually do or say something that makes them fair game! like this idiotic commercial prat and the pathetic comments he's made. Waggot has gained a little credit with the recent coaching appointments and dof, but he's still walking a wafer thin line with me and its questionable exactly how much say he had in finding them and bringing them in
  14. I'm not sure why benson, lowe have been getting so much stick, have they done something wrong specifically that I'm not Aware of!? And why does Damien Johnson not get any stick when he's was just as much part of mowbrays coaching team as the others! Im not saying the shouldn't be replaced/upgraded at some point, but to me they seem pretty harmless jobbing coaches and as long as they follow the new manager & assistant managers orders and don't try undermining them the what's the prob
  15. He's definitely the coolest coach we've ever had, don't know what the ladies think but I can definitely feel a lot of mancrushes coming on
  16. well Ayala is in the final season of his contract and strangely🙄 in recent years that's when our players have been at their best pretty much
  17. Personally around £300(for the Riverside) I could stretch to and spread the cost over 12 months or more with an interest free card. Any more is just too much for me to justify though. It's obviously far more frustrating this year though, because i like most am very excited to see what JDT brings to the team and hopefully we have a good enjoyable season for a change!
  18. Brian Cox though! It's never been in question what a great actor he's been all of his career But this really is a role of a lifetime for him, he's an absolute behemoth
  19. Was hoping to buy my first season ticket since the Mowbray era! Simply can't afford £429 without putting it on credit (which I'm not prepared to do) and even if I did have the m9ney available I wouldn't be at all happy paying that much to sit in the Riverside (the stand id usually sit in)
  20. Yeah it does have a lot of similarities to the sopranos in its tone with how it can instantly switch between full on hravy drama and comedy. I find 'Roman'(culkin) a bit too silly sometimes though, It's usually 'Tom' (Matthew Macfadyen) that makes me laugh hardest especially when he's teasing 'Greg'! Even after 3 seasons of it you're never quite sure if he's teasing him or about to pounce on him (the unrequited love Tom clearly has for Greg is pretty sad, you just know that's not going to end well!) I've never watched Mathew Macfadyen in anything before, ive always just thought he's just another stuffy boring British actor, but his character in this is so odd and complicated even though he's probably actually the nicest and most "normal" of them all really
  21. New managers are always a big gamble no matter who they are or what club you're at, but this genuinely feels like the most exciting appointment the venks have ever made at the club
  22. Maybe admin could boost the page count by unhiding the naughty "hidden posts" haha
  23. Rohan Curtis now looks to be available for around 500k think he'd do very well in the championship, Although a RB and CB has to be our priority! (it would be very Mowbrayesque to start by signing attacking players then have no real money left to sign a quality experienced defenders)
  24. wonder if theres any of his malmo players he'd like to try and sign, they must have a handful of players more than good enough for the championship and I doubt any of them would cost millions in transfer fees and wages.
