  1. I agree absolutely.... Shearer, Bellamy, Hendry, Savage, Batty, Diof.... To name just a tiny few where nasty bastards on the pitch and probably just a twatty of it. As long as theyre murderers, cretinous perverts, violent wife beaters etc.. Then it shouldn't really matter, As long as they turn up on time for training and give all they've got on match day then it's pretty irrelevant.
  2. Had my passport renewed last year, was kept up to date with the process by the automated service and received the replacement in less than 10 days, no problem 🤷‍♂️ Also renewed by drivers licence recently, all done online with no issues at all and recieved the new licence quickly. There's probably more people that are just crap at filing in forms correctly etc and checking everything is spot on before posting things off. Are you not a working person?
  3. Gowd these threads take some weird tangents in the off season😅
  4. Personally much prefer jdt over the mercenary carvalhal
  5. My thoughts exactly. We need to get a rock hard bastard backline in place before blowing our limited funds on fancy dan luxory players.
  6. Whatever the formation it does sound l8ke Tomassons way is going to be similar to Mark Hughes, Very high intesity, not give the oppo a second to think, fast direct attacking.. Cant wait 😁
  7. This. Even Mercer has the grace to hold his hands up when his tales don't come to fruition.
  8. Whether you believe or agree with him you should either reply with the same maturity as Glen does or just shut up and stop harassing the bloke.
  9. So what are we expecting formation wise from JDT? I've read conflicting reports, some saying he strongly favours a more traditional 442/4411 with pressing forwards others saying he goes with 4231 with wide pressing forwards
  10. CONSISTENCY in results and performances, get that right along with a few solid signings to strengthen the team and the rest will come.
  11. Errr no You're not, don't do it again ffs😤
  12. Didn't mind his first full season, but after that his player transfers became very dubious and desperate (pretty sure he had 4 senior RBs on the books at one point) he just ran out of ideas and obviously working on a relatively small budget didn't help, but to be fair that was normally his speciality at the point and a lot was wasted on kalinic
  13. Yeh! I meant/said think of the good times before Venkys ie. The Hughes, Souness and Dalglish years (from my lifetime) The Allardyce years where completely forgettable in comparison to them (though yes obviously the Allardyce years where good in comparison to anything post venky takeover so far... )
  14. I'm already tired of all the schmoozing however refreshing it's been... Time to get down to business from Monday
  15. Sam feck8n Allardyce jeezus, if people are going to reminisce then why not at least think of the good pre-venky times!
  16. Not really, should always just be the most talented man for the job imo, it's a bonus if they're local or already have an affinity with the club. I'm sure there are loads of 'locals' doing jobs and knocking about behind the scenes at the training ground that keep a lower profile
  17. Was my thought also, where do they find these spoilt little disinterested dullard shits We should be scouring the estates of blackburn and nearby towns & villages for our next crop of youngsters, kids that actually just love playing football with real fight and a desperation to make good lives for themselves and their families.
  18. Just watched the first episode of obi-wan kenobi and already I'm board with it. Disney really aren't going to be content untill they've completely mined the life out the original trilogyand left it dead on the scrap heap.
  19. I totally agree, actions speak louder than words in football. It's only that it's such a small gesture though, it's just odd for the owners of any club not to at the very least personally put out a short statement welcoming them and wishing them the best
  20. Sorry just another bum note! But would it really have killed the venkys to put out a personal statement welcoming the new manager to the club
  21. Which one is he again? Looks like he'd be a right sneaky tell tale
  22. Hope not! He was pretty average and a real sick note in his prime, now in his mid 30s! What could he really offer? May as well bring MGP back as well before he retires 🙃
  23. I genuinely without any bias think we've easily got the better man for the job long term, Kompanys a big name, but other than that there's nothing impressive about his cv since retirement
