  1. Just seems a lot of people are almost happy that Broughton could be a goner. His transfer record over all has been at least as good(if not better) than anybody that has come before him during the venky period imo! And his hiring of jdt turned out to be a real breath of fresh air(for the first 12 months at least) Wahlstadt was thrown in at the deep end, I'd say ideally he needed to spend at least this whole season as an understudy to a more experienced senior keeper (sadly he's only got flippin Pears in that role) Ennis signed on a free and reportedly sold for around half a mill just 6 months later. So a relatively risk free signing initially that didn't work out(for whatever reason) but they've still quickly profited from it Telavovic.. The jurys still out for me, i like his attitude and he has ability but whether he's cut out for this level only time will tell... But again a relatively cheap low risk signing that I'm sure would be easy to offload if needs be. Tronstadt alone tips the balance for me, great little find, quality player and potential future captain material in my book Obviously the jury is very very much out on this januarys bargain bucket recruits but again they're all relatively low risk signings that could potentially turn out to be excellent additions(if not then no big loss)
  2. Tbf that was fairly accurate aside from the comment saying that being a championship club is probably our natural place (because you could say that about half the teams currently in the prem!)
  3. JDT: Can I at least have a new £20 training hoodie with my initials on? Venkys: right you're sacked!! We're not made of money!
  4. Just watched a couple of interviews of Eustace... Seems more in the Appleton, mould than Mark Hughes!! Very drab persona as well
  5. Yep that's all I was getting at too 👍 On paper he has a lot of potential, some club will take a punt on him at some point I'm sure
  6. Mark Hughes dragged our training and tactics into the 21st century at the time, but now he seems to be the one stuck in the past sadly I also think he needs his taffy army of Bowen etc.. alongside him to be his best, apears that since they all went their own ways and Hughes has had to go alone is when he began to really struggle
  7. Benni Mc🤷‍♂️ Though tbh I think all this talk of head coach replacements is just going to distract all the attention away from the real problems at the club
  8. What are the chances of the efl just letting it through purely out of sympathy for us long suffering fans And if it was done deliberately (for whatever reason) it would also be a slap in the face to whoever sabotaged it if it was green lit now
  9. that's a fair point! I do remember that exact statement being made, So you would at least think that it should now at least be easy for them to find the specific point where those procedures were not followed (and by whom)
  10. I also feel that out of all the major players at Ewood GB is the least to blame and the only one thats actually been doing his job well (ie. identifying players to sign and convincing them to join us!) It's clearly those around and above him that all have their own agendas and are doing their utmost to bring the club (further) down! Even Tommason(who I'm generally a fan of) is lucky to be in job purely for footballing reasons and the clubs awful league results. But sadly I think Broughton will be the one that is made the fall guy(again) as he seems to be quite dignified and willing to take the blame for other peoples fk ups.
  11. I like Solskjaer, but he's very much in the JDT mold so I doubt he'd last long here
  12. I'm holding out a tiny bit of hope that they can all get together and work their shit out so they can at least all put the energys into putting up a good relegation fight👊👊👊 then once we're safe they can all just civily go their own ways But as we all know from experience things rarely happen in a respectable grown up fasion under the Raos. (I mean if the rumours are right we've still got the McGuire time bomb to publicly go off yet if he doesn't get clearance!!)
  13. Exactly my first thought, non of them have the personality or ability to manage even the odd game! A few years ago i might have suggested Damien Johnson because he seemed to be on a trajectory to become a manager one day(or at least assistant) but he seems to have gone right off the radar in recent years
  14. Jesus wept. Just switched footy focus on to have a catch up of what's going on in the prem.... Only to find them banging on and on about the womens premier league... Who actually givest a shit? And if you do... Why??
  15. They'll be banging out a bullet proof non disclosure agreement for tommason right now to go along with his "resignation" package. Seriously they genuinely seem to spend more on expensive solicitors and legal issues than they do player signings
  16. Oh! And I've a sneaky suspicion Gallagher will sign a new deal in the coming weeks
  17. I just cant get my head around the official rovers Facebook comments of the signings! Particularly with Flecks! You'd think we'd have signed messi(seriously!) what planet are these people from!? You'd assume they were just naive kids posting or somat... But no they're bloody mostly adults. And the even slightly pessimistic/realistic comment that gets made causes a wich hunt against you! Just pathetic. I mean dont get me wrong I'd obviously love For Fleck to find his past form and for all the new signings to come good. But Flecks injury record and form in the past few years strongly suggests he's pretty much done as a footballer at this level And that's not even getting into the fact the clubs just received nearly 20 mill from whartons deal and not a penny of it was reinvested, if it wasn't for the Ellis sale i seriously doubt we'd have signed anybody yesterday
  18. Saying Fleck is a good player is like saying Dack is a good player. It's pretty irrelevant how much ability he has(or had) if he's got one leg in the knackers yard
  19. Desperate late signing.great little player years ago. Knackered now. be lucky to get a handful of games out of him.
  20. What circumstances specifically? They're all amature chances and degenerates from the owners down to the director of football, none of them should be here. We're just lucky that on the footballing and coaching side we've got good respectable professionals doing just enough to keep the team afloat. (for the moment anyway)
