Hedges and jrc usually only manage around 25 games a season each. Travis is usually fit but rarely gives a performance higher than 5/6 out of 10. Tronstad is our only reliable quality cm but he offers nothing going forward. That's a big problem. The only way I can see us being able to sign Brannagan is if Sammie is sold. Even then I'd be suprised if he chose to sign for us if there's other teams wanting him.

I genuinely want to see the lad do whats best for his career. Too many young english players have been signed up and just left to rot on the bench or in the reserves for yearsbat city because they don't quite fit into pepa pigs plans. It's as though he sometimes signs players just to stop them going to rival clubs where he'd strengthen their team. There's plenty being saying batty is going to be our our first team left back for the past 2/3 seasons but not seen anything of him, I expect Duru to be the same

I think grealish was left out purely because he has a strong personality and wouldn't have been happy picking his nose on the bench, same probably goes for a few others that where dropped

Ange Postecoglou Would be my shout! Knows the English players well, has experience managing at international level, plays good attacking football, he's a lot more likeable and passionate than southgate(which I think would cause less divide amongst fans) He's foreign, but not too foreign! Haha I mean aussies are basically our cousins and we would be less likely to worry about coming up against Australia in a big game than we would Germany(if Klopp was chosen) All that said, i dont think the FA would hire a real manager again and would probably keep it in houseand promote another yes man coach.

Southgates 'done well' by playing it safe, just like when you hired Allardyce as manager you knew you'd 'do well' by playing it safe, but you also knew you'd never actually win anything. We need a manager that's brave enough to let these kids off the leash to do what they do best at club level. Fullback/wingback spots are probably going to be a worry going forward, I don't think Walker, Shaw and Trippier will be around for another tournament. As for Kane! He needs to be put out to pasture.

Errr because at his best he was a very good Premier league gk but now he's out of contract and clubs don't appear to be lining up to sign him That said! Of the 3 veteran keepers we've been linked to so far Begovic would easily be my number 1 choice
