  1. What circumstances specifically? They're all amature chances and degenerates from the owners down to the director of football, none of them should be here. We're just lucky that on the footballing and coaching side we've got good respectable professionals doing just enough to keep the team afloat. (for the moment anyway)
  2. This will be Greggs fourth transfer window and looking like another stinker on the whole (from the fans and Tommasons pov anyway!!) Any respectable club would pot him, waggot and the elusive shitbag Suhail now(well waggot and his evil shadow would have been a goners years ago) But in the venkys eyes as long as they're selling players they can do no wrong.
  3. Yeh but as are most prem clubs these days when it comes to transfers with shitty ffp not effect them anywhere near as much as non prem teams
  4. True But could argue that city and Chelsea weren't the the hugely successful clubs they went on to be at the times of those signings
  5. I'm guessing we've now only been able to go back in for McGuire because it seems we may have a bit of money coming in for Ennis. The wharton sale(if it actually goes through) doesn't seem to have had any real effect one way or another! Like others have said.... That money will likely go into the venky/Waggot abyss (or ""running costs"" as they call it)
  6. Well done to the Orlando acount doing more to highlight this circus in one set of tweets than the entire British press (and our local rags) have done in over 10 years.
  7. Has it been discounted that shef weds just came in with a late bid that matched ours and he sensibly chose them over our shower of shit
  8. Seems like everythings going to be balancing on a knife edge tomorrow(again) Not meaning to be pessimistic but after last Januarys embarrassing amature mess and the various other daft avoidable fk ups that have been made over the years I'm not getting remotely excited until the incoming deals are rubber stamped and officially over the line (But my guts telling me the Wharton deal is going to fall through for some reason or another in the morning, then there's going to be a mad scramble at ewood for the rest of the day trying to salvage something out of the mess, then ending in despair)
  9. There was a time when united would have been all over an exciting young talent like Wharton, no wonder that clubs now just a sess pit full of egos
  10. what creepy crawlys actually go snooping around the accounts of players family members to find this stuff out!
  11. Love Tronstad Proper old school centre midfielder Telavovic looked to have quality when he came on, seems a clever player Szmodics is a real Rovers players that represents everything the club stands for hope he's here for many years to come. (i also now think it would be suicide to sell gallagher in this window)
  12. any other time selling Gallagher for any fee and getting his(higher than he's worth) wages off the books would be a no brainer! But not when there are no other senior experienced championship centre forwards on the books
  13. May as well just get Gary Bowyer back if the only aim of the club is to blood young players to sell on and bounce around the championship, at least the team showed a bit of heart with him (I'm being semi sarcastic i don't really want bowyer back I just want us not to be shit)
  14. Same story as always...... It's all well and good selling players for a fortune but unless the bulk of any proceeds goes straight back into the transfer kitty for the manager to spend at will then its just pointless
  15. Tbf! "a few" is different to near 20 with still half a season to go though
  16. Smzodics was probably 26/27 when he joined us and nobody would have believed he'd become the top goal scorer that he has at 28
  17. Not really. And I'm not sure about this "no one else will touch him" bit either, I think most league 1 clubs and a good hand full of championship clubs would have liked him in the summer if we didn't gazzump them on wages Signing him was a gamble though due to his fitness record and it's one that doesn't currently look like paying off! But yes giving him a long term contract was the ridiculous part, just hope he's only on a very modest salary in case we do need to pay him off
  18. Surely we could have got Ashley Philips bacj here on loan instead of him going to struggling Plymouth
  19. I don't think there's currently much between them although i think Leo has plenty of potential for improvement where as Pears is probably as good as he's going to get, The problem with Leo right now is that he's been thrown in at the deep end without armbands and his confidance is getting shattered Id love us to sign an experienced veteran keeper on a short term deal, someone to take the pressure off Leo and gving him someone to learn from. Pears is an excellent back up keeper, but I doubt he'd now settle for being a backup
  20. Szmodics is now looking like one of our best bargains for a long long time, defintely one of the very best deals in the venky era
  21. Problem is you cant keep your captain on the bench forever as its obviously going to cause unrest in the squad. I think ideally rovers would like to sell him but they know nobody is going to even get in the ball park of their valuation. So maybe in their heads they think going out and getting game time at a club doing well will raise his stock back up so they can get a more reasonable fee for him in the summer (wouldn't be suprised if there's an option to buy in the loan agreement if they meet the valuation)
