  1. This is what I have never understood; we loan out two of our own, then bring in two loaners, one of which isn’t as good as who we loaned out ... if we have people who can correctly identify talent, how does this make any sense? Financial or otherwise?
  2. So, our final 9- March 20, at Norwich L April 2, at Wycombe W April 5, B’mouth L April 10, at Cardiff L April 17, Derby W April 20, at Wednesday T April 24, H’fld T May 1, at Rotherham T May 8, B’ham W I don’t bet, but if I did, I am counting on useless points at the end of a throwaway season vs 6 lackluster, catfish teams. I think I am being very generous here- expecting this team, under this manager, to secure 12 points in 9 fixtures. But, that’s indicative of the void we have right now as far as an underachieving club, with an under motivated and tired manager.
  3. I wish you were right; unfortunately, nothing will change until seasons end. Probably not even then.
  4. I would say this resembled a steaming pile of horse manure, but at least manure has a purpose. Another manager could take 4-5 of our existing players, add castoffs from Championship clubs, and 1 or 2 from league 1, and we have a top 10 side. I fail to see what TM accomplished the last 10 games, except to grow our fans apathy.
  5. Has Mowbray thrown the team under the bus yet
  6. 74% poss, but one less shot on target than BC.
  7. It’s hard to stay focused on this. Rovers chat guys are discussing merits of Jammy Dodgers (not available in Texas, lol)
  8. Rovers have been the better team; made nothing of our chances, but BC hasn’t threatened.
  9. Tony sometimes gets a good result from his wacky selections, so he oughta get a real shocker tonight.
  10. I can see Elliott hooking up Arma for a goal. I will be the dissenter here, I am so glad we have Elliott for however long we have him.
  11. I’m not pleased by it; can’t say I’m surprised by it, though.
  12. It’s a sad state, indeed. BC sit 4 pts above us, so Rovers with a win would still be no higher than 13th. Our Ewood form stinks, they are better on the road than we are at home. Pearson has injected some positivity into that team. I will stay with my 2-1 prediction, but I feel less enthused about it by the minute.
  13. TM’s idea of more passion is to play without our best attacking players, ha ha. At the risk of appearing less sane than usual, I will say, 2-1. Elliott & Gally, with assists by Dolan & Elliott. COYB!
  14. Well, whatever scoring we get, tonight & the rest of the season, probably will be one or the other (or both) involved. Sans Dacky & Arma, if they can’t score now, it’s time to move on without either of them (BaG).
  15. I don’t fear our defending, near as bad as the impotency on attack. Without Arma, Dack & Travis, it’s hard to expect even a point from this game.
  16. Ah, we’re talking about different things; I’m a fan of The University of Texas football, er, “collegial tackleball”, to my English friends. 😄 So, we are approximately the same age. I didn’t come to appreciate Blackburn Rovers until 2013, but I follow them closer now than I do my first two loves, UT or Dallas Cowboys. Strangely, Rovers & Cowboys last hit Paydirt the same year... so my long-sufferance continues!
  17. Meanwhile, we’re 15th on the table... with a goal diff of +8 lol
  18. Y’all have covered the major needs well, those out of contract, etc, so I will give a hearty, “amen” to all that has been said. The only thing I would say to a “total rebuild” is, that’s an expensive proposition for anybody, let alone this club. I think if we got a new manager, and re-signed 2-3 of those needed, with 1-2 permanent additions, most of us would be excited, the ol’ blood would be pulsing strongly again for the blue & white. I stood by him a long time-maybe too long: The fly in the ointment would be TM staying... we’ve seen enough of mid-table, at best. It’s going to take a new man with fresh ideas and to generate some excitement to pull us up anywhere from 6th-12th. A new manager, who can recruit soundly and make tactical decisions, with a personality, would mean a lot to the club.
  19. It’s getting harder and harder to find anything positive to say. Our players give a good effort, but they aren’t getting much help from the manager or coaches. And then there’s the injuries. Enough said.
  20. Let’s go! its 1:45 PM, and a warm 79 degrees in Texas...
