  1. It’s a painful situation. One point of the last 18. But, one result won’t get Mowbray sacked, or finish out the season, or get his contract extended. Blackburn Rovers are bigger than Mowbray, Venus, or waggott. I want a Rovers win tomorrow. The owners can sort out the mess later... I hope.
  2. I predicted the 1-1 tie vs Coventry. No, I’m not proud of a tie, but a point got us off the schnide. I will call another point at Reading, but this time, 2-2. Arte et Labore.
  3. Thanks, 99, I tend to embrace 98% of what you said. “Mass overhaul”, as you stated, is probably what comes next. Making it to 8th on the table, I put on the players talent moreso, than managerial acumen. Sitting where we are currently, I place on Mowbray’s shoulders. Injuries account for a bit perhaps, but we’ve fallen back in the pack, even with the return of Dack (not yet fit) & Travis. and others.
  4. I agree, we flop across the finish line, battered & bruised, more dead & buried than alive, but still in the Championship. But as Booth just said, what about next season? Player departures and money troubles, portend a sorry 2021-2022 season. We will certainly have to find better defenders on the cheap. I don’t see that happening, if this leadership team remains intact. Just more loaners, and chronically injured players coming in.
  5. The game earlier this season was a nightmare. I don’t fear this one as badly, probably 1-2. Afterwards, when we’re 18th on the table, our fearless leader will say, “promotion is right around the corner”
  6. Mowbray-“we didn’t do the basics good enough.” if they didn’t, it’s on you, TM. You’ve had plenty of time to get the guys you need, to play the system you endorse. I’m frustrated; no sense going over all his failures again, but they are numerous, and worse than ever.
  7. We don’t have a chance of winning the fixtures coming up. We couldn’t even beat these scrubs today. Utterly abysmal.
  8. If we don’t win this, I don’t see us win anything. Was Millwall the last quality win we had (Dec 2)?
  9. 63% possession today; fewer shots, fewer shots on goal, etc
  10. There’s our lucky break nothing to come of it, I’m afraid
  11. I said 1-1; not sure we’re even going to get that.
  12. Definitely a better 1st half than many we’ve had lately.
  13. Rovers’ subs: I am hoping Dack in relief shows us his pre-injury form. Dolan needs to play, imo. mans, Trybull hopefully shows us something, anything.
  14. Evans starting? The logic escapes me. Some of the others are limited by the fitness of players. still, this lineup should get all 3 points today (should, not will)
  15. I still think we tie, and Mowbray cries.
  16. We will be in the mix, for sure. When we were 8th on the table, that seems a long time ago.
  17. Midfield... I’d have to play Dolan, and hope for 15-20 minutes from Downing (no Dack? maybe I missed something. I think we all know he’s not fully fit, but he’s still better than most). Might be the best we could hope for. Now, it appears Trybull might be available.
  18. Wacky stuff happens in sports; our run of losses is inexplicable, but what does that say about Liverpool’s? nobody can explain this stuff. We could win 6-0 tomorrow, or we could lose 0-6, or anything in-between. I still think we tie 1-1, our players give 110%, and Mowbray breaks down and cries, saying we deserved more. Mowbray stays. We need to get used to it.
  19. I’m expecting the players will leave it all on the pitch, in a hard-fought, 1-1 tie, that afterwards Tony will say (as he’s been saying), “we deserved all 3 today.” Sad.
  20. I would have him in the squad; not to start. I am of the opinion we already have enough kids on the pitch, “youthful enthusiasm”. We don’t really need anymore, unless they are good enough. I believe our kids tried hard vs Watford; but trying hard, with this manager, hasn’t worked. We need more from Tony & his staff, if we’re to avoid falling into the basement.
  21. So now, Davenport is out 1-2 months. what next?
  22. Interesting, on the club website, “we must stick together”... Harv Elliott saying this, the youngest, most malleable player on the team, and a loaner, at that. What are the veteran players saying? Not sure Elliott, as immensely talented as he is, speaks for the majority.
  23. Yeah, I could get excited about any number of managers, but Sherwood has not managed in at least 5 years, and was a failure then. He’s another Rovers favorite son of bygone days; I’d hate to be shouting for his removal.
