  1. Another question- Daniel Ayala. Will we ever get anything from this guy? He’s 30, and thus far, has only played parts of 9 games in a Rovers shirt. So, he’s drawn a healthy paycheck to sit back and watch teenagers play his position, teens that return to their parent clubs next season. I suppose we will get another loaner or two next season to play his position...
  2. A bit of a change of subject here, but Sam Gallagher has scored 21 goals in a Rovers’ shirt. Twenty-one? Why can’t I remember many of them?
  3. Of course they are separate. Sacking Mowbray doesn’t end our problems. The next guy needs to know what the heck he is doing, or we will still be in the swirl.
  4. I’ve had all day to think about this mess (it’s 6:49 PM, in Texas), and my feeling hasn’t changed. Losing doesn’t get any easier over time, whether it’s vs the #1 team or the #24 team. Lads, it could very well be like when Coyle got the boot; the cancer had been found, but not the cure. There still a lot of season to be played, we’re free-falling on the table, and we still are counting on teenagers at the back. I like to think those in charge are aware the mess is getting worse, but even if they agree there is a problem, getting it fixed is a whole other proposition. I have supported Blackburn Rovers only since 2013; some of y’all since the 50’s. So y’all know how bad it can get. Just the fact there’s noisy owners, board, CEO & sometimes manager, doesn’t mean they have the sense to fix something. Just because a jackass brays aloud, doesn’t mean he knows what he’s saying. We’re not out of the woods yet. I can be somewhat happy when Mowbray is gone, but I cannot be content and satisfied until I know who replaces him. Either of those events could still be a long ways off.
  5. We just lost to #5... then, @ #10; #4; #2; #12; @ #1. What is the club thinking- praying for a miracle? the season cannot still be salvaged, but we could stay in the Championship under the right man.
  6. Disappointing and I am very disillusioned. Where is our scoring? We score vs crap clubs, that’s all. Not even against many of them lately. Nothing to suggest we’re on any kind of timetable to improve, or plan, of any kind. Past Time to bring in someone else.
  7. Once again, we win 63% poss, but not shots, shots on goals, or... score (sigh)
  8. Bell should not be with the club next season. Thank goodness, Douglas won’t be. The majority of the current defenders needs to be scrapped, and the back line rebuilt. Nyambe should be kept on, Lenihan, & Pickering arrives. Ayala... I’m not sure, even if healthy. I don’t see the rest being helpful, if we want to advance beyond 8th in the Championship.
  9. Yeah, no win today. but afterwards, I fully expect TM to say he witnessed, “Premier League performances all over the pitch...”
  10. As a Texan, I’m always satisfied with a local brew... Shiner Bock, or Ziegen Bock. Cheers!
  11. It’s a painful situation. One point of the last 18. But, one result won’t get Mowbray sacked, or finish out the season, or get his contract extended. Blackburn Rovers are bigger than Mowbray, Venus, or waggott. I want a Rovers win tomorrow. The owners can sort out the mess later... I hope.
  12. I predicted the 1-1 tie vs Coventry. No, I’m not proud of a tie, but a point got us off the schnide. I will call another point at Reading, but this time, 2-2. Arte et Labore.
  13. Thanks, 99, I tend to embrace 98% of what you said. “Mass overhaul”, as you stated, is probably what comes next. Making it to 8th on the table, I put on the players talent moreso, than managerial acumen. Sitting where we are currently, I place on Mowbray’s shoulders. Injuries account for a bit perhaps, but we’ve fallen back in the pack, even with the return of Dack (not yet fit) & Travis. and others.
  14. I agree, we flop across the finish line, battered & bruised, more dead & buried than alive, but still in the Championship. But as Booth just said, what about next season? Player departures and money troubles, portend a sorry 2021-2022 season. We will certainly have to find better defenders on the cheap. I don’t see that happening, if this leadership team remains intact. Just more loaners, and chronically injured players coming in.
  15. The game earlier this season was a nightmare. I don’t fear this one as badly, probably 1-2. Afterwards, when we’re 18th on the table, our fearless leader will say, “promotion is right around the corner”
  16. Mowbray-“we didn’t do the basics good enough.” if they didn’t, it’s on you, TM. You’ve had plenty of time to get the guys you need, to play the system you endorse. I’m frustrated; no sense going over all his failures again, but they are numerous, and worse than ever.
  17. We don’t have a chance of winning the fixtures coming up. We couldn’t even beat these scrubs today. Utterly abysmal.
  18. If we don’t win this, I don’t see us win anything. Was Millwall the last quality win we had (Dec 2)?
  19. 63% possession today; fewer shots, fewer shots on goal, etc
  20. There’s our lucky break nothing to come of it, I’m afraid
  21. I said 1-1; not sure we’re even going to get that.
  22. Definitely a better 1st half than many we’ve had lately.
