  1. Lenihan, Gallagher, Johnson, Trybull, Holtby, Ayala... all out. I assume Williams, as well, but he wasn’t mentioned. A least a couple of those could’ve been useful vs Watford. Nyambe.. “touch & go.” Bennett & JR-C... “Won’t feature.” Pike & McBride to be in the squad. Low to no expectations. Oughta be fun
  2. The 4 teams just below us, could all pass us with wins. If Coventry beats Swansea and we lose, they could be within two points when we play them this weekend. Yeah, I would say our situation demands three points; if we cannot pick them up vs Watford, Coventry becomes a must-win situation.... or we could well be toying with relegation.
  3. Yes, I fully agree with that statement. I believe we’ve “maxed out” under his mgmt. I don’t think he can possibly last that long, considering the current state of affairs. We’re averaging a point a game... that’s definitely not enough to promote, and maybe not good enough to stay up. I’m glad the owners don’t have as itchy a trigger finger to can/sack managers as they used to, but a loss tomorrow, and they might find it much easier to do so.
  4. Yeah, defensively, I don’t know what else can be done. If Nyambe is healthy, that answers one question. Three questions remaining, LoL
  5. Getting back to tomorrow’s game... Stopping Pedro, Sarr, Deeney, et al., is a tall order. Our defending has not been that bad, allowing 11 in the past 11. Rovers have not allowed 3 or 4 goals since October (3 to Watford, 4 to Reading). Rovers have outscored Wasps on the season, tbh, those goals were a long time ago, Rovers having scored only 9 in the last 11 games. we’re not good enough offensively to derail a fine defending team like Watford. I made my whimsical pick earlier; serious pick time, 1-2.
  6. You’re probably right.
  7. I’d say Kaminski alone is worth it. Stergiakis... time will tell.
  8. Just listened to Roverschat on YouTube, “well done” & good discussion to all those involved. I must say, if Mowbray were to leave the team today, we are definitely in better shape than when he arrived. Now I can say, after listening to a very fair discussion, if Mowbray were to leave the team today, we might not feel so good about the immediate future: 1) lack of a name manager that is out there right now, that we could get; 2) money (it’s always money, isn’t it!?) If we get body slammed by Watford, I’d be willing to see him given his walking papers, but I would not be rejoicing at the prospects of the remainder of the season under an interim manager, or someone that would not instill anymore confidence than I have right now.
  9. Ha ha We have to laugh, to keep from crying.
  10. Not feeling very positive about this. Lacking warm bodies on defense, we put all the kids on the pitch, go wide open/full acceleration, and... ... lose, 3-5. At least it will be an exciting game. After which, Tony will say, “we were Premier League quality attacking.” 🤣
  11. What are we gonna hear before Watford?injuries, excuses, blah, blah, blah. Tony, we were crap before losing Gally & Nyambe, and the 7 who missed the Forest game weren’t that great either (JR-C & Holtby might’ve been useful). I love the team, & look forward to each & every game, but it’s hard looking forward to games, knowing your team not only won’t win, but has very slim hopes of even getting a point. I’m bummed thinking about the near future.
  12. The last 11 games: Three wins. 11 points. 9 goals scored, 11 allowed. We were 8th on the table, just a win away from playoff place. Now, we’re 12th, but playoffs is a distant dream, 10 points away now. I refuse to feel sorry for Tony. Since December 19, 4 players have returned to the lineup after long term injuries. Three other players have come into the first team that he hand-picked. He’s been paid well to manage Rovers to win games. Its not working. We’re frustrated, hes frustrated, too. But he’s paid to do the job. It’s not getting done. Time to move on, and give someone else a try.
  13. Managers ALWAYS think they can figure things out. Mowbray is as much of a Mr Fixit as anybody.
  14. It’s just a mess. Mowbray cannot figure it out, God bless him, he’s got to be frustrated. But, the fact he can’t figure it out, means it’s time to move on. Anybody could go 0 for 4. it’s (past) time for a change.
  15. Fourth lost in a row, to teams all below us on the table. terrible
  16. I’m afraid that’s it...we’ve had 60% possession, 4 shots on target, a missed ok, etc One only get so many opportunities to make good...
  17. I appreciate Dolan coming on... nothing from 60% poss so far
  18. Taylor will give them more pace; but I was hoping for a 2nd yellow from Murray
  19. Cardiff solves nobbers defence quite early, no surprise there
  20. Alrighty we’re all ready for this... let the fun begin!
  21. I can hear it now...H-B and JB, chasing shadows to yakety sax/Benny Hill theme. Script: Rovers concede a breakaway at 5’, score on a phantom penalty just before halftime, then lose on a counter at 90+2. But, we have 60% possession. take that, Forest!!
  22. I said it earlier in the week, I will say it again... what a weird lineup. I suppose eventually, we will win with one of these concoctions/mad scientist delusions of grandeur, and some will marvel at TM’s sagacity. However, I’m not seeing it today.
  23. The cumulative evidence of 3 losses demonstrates incompetence, when he’s got his main players back from injury, and his transfers/loaners aren’t difference-makers. I'm not expecting much today- other than good effort from the players selected. I always expect that. But I anticipate whatever effort is put forth, won’t be enough.
  24. Trybull, Johnson, Holtby, JR-C, Ayala, Wharton, Williams all out.
